Fifa 09 Updated to 1250

Fifa 09 Updated to 1250
Written Saturday, March 21, 2009 by Alan Pettit

The recent "Ultimate Team" DLC for Fifa 09 has added 10 new achievements for an additional 250 gamerscore. The Ultimate Team add-on costs 800 MSP.

Please note: Whenever we add DLC achievements to a game, the checklist for the game will be broken to anyone who was using it before the additions. We do not know the cause, but to fix the glitch, simply delete the checklist (hit the Red X from the "My Achievements" link)  and then re-enable and re-check your achievements. We apologize for this inconvenience.

YEAH! i agree with the brits/ americans who like FIFA. MADDEN is the same-ol' shit year after year. At least FIFA brings news features almost every year. so stop saying madden is good when its boring as hell.

I'm sorry but futbol is the best sport, most popular sport in the world, and should recieve much more praise than it is given in the United States instead of fat ass guys slamming eachother into the ground. GO FIFA !

Yay, didnt know this new DLC came with a set of achievements. They look quite challenging and unfortunately I don't think this ones quite worth the money.

Unlucky Fifa, nice new DLC but it'll take something special to actually want me to buy something new with this. Considering I already have Live Season for Free so my squads update to the latest teams, and the Ranked Matches have the players rated at their skill at this time.

They even add new players to fix those times when people searched the millions of foreign teams for their favourite newly signed player, but he's not there!

There needn't be another Fifa, but for EA's sake they'll keep making them and the graphics will eventually blossom to a newer potential.

I agree with #18 all the way. I hope the graphics blossom and they work a replay value a bit more.

Ultimate Tea DLC is a great additon. It's a mix of Manager Mode meets Fantasy football. The achievements are already activated, I got the "Silver Pack" achievement before I realised they'd added another 10 achiv's. 800MSP is a snip for te amount of depth they'v added to this new feature, hats off to EAfor this!

A good challenge for all to be had, and next time you head onine there's no excuse that you can't "create a team to your liking"! Yeah it'll take a bit of time & effort (if you're not prepared for that don't bother!) but you can create a squad exactly how you would like it!

SurReal Madrid all the way . . .

Saturday, March 21, 2009 @ 09:12:07 AM

got some achievements already on it :) would help if it didnt crash and disconnect me from the servers all the time :( buts thats EA for you.... oh and madden is awesome (from england btw ppl)

Saturday, March 21, 2009 @ 10:12:00 AM

@ every dumbass on here arguing

who gives a fuck who created what?

all that matters is that the person playing it is having fun...if you don't like Fifa, then that's great, stfu...same thing for Madden...people have different tastes, so get over it.

Besides, Soccer isn't near as popular over here in the US, and Football (American football) isn't near as popular over in Europe..or any other country, for that matter

Saturday, March 21, 2009 @ 11:49:52 AM

Since we're all sharing:

World Cup > Super Bowl
Regular Season American Football > Regular Season Rest-of-the-World-Football

If football/futbol/soccer players were less whiny, I'd enjoy it more. I hate when half of the game is some guy crying to the ref. The World Cup, tho, is truly epic.

Haven't played my FIFA 09 demo yet, but it's gotta be better than Madden. LOL.

NHL 09 > all.

at least almost the whole game of football isn't stopped for like half an hour to think of tactics. Come on they've had about a week to think of a play and they stop the game every time there is a tackle.

Never compare Rugby to American Football. They are very different. Rugby being the best sport in the world of course :).

And don't you think the idea of kicking a ball around was done by cave men. Although England made it professional first.

Anyway, on topic, this has made me slightly more inclined to buy the DLC. Still not sure though.

I can take a guess you've unlocked an achievement and it's not showing up! I got that for the "Silver Card" achievement. It's added to my overall gamerscore but not nmy FIFA score which reads 799, as opposed to 804. Sod it, the game is enjoyable even without achivements.

As for the whole Football vs. American football thing. Football (soccer to those over the water) was picked up firstly in China with a pigs bladder, it was then made professional in England before Brazil showed the rest of the world how it's done. American Football is pretty brutal, but it's too slow IMO, I have nothing against the sport, each to their own and all, but I need something with pace. And yes, i'm a also a Rugby League fan (the real version of Rugby), so I do appreciate a game with hard knocks and tac

kles! Anyway, how did this turn into a slanging match like the vast majority of COD lobby chats?

It's a sport, thus a game, let's just enjoy the fantastic work EA have put out for us (I can't believe I've just said that!). UT is a great mode that has obviously had time & care put into it, Kudos to EA . . . . . (apart from the 'ol disconnecting every now and then!)

I liked the idea of this DLC, but for god sake, why can't EA sort out their flippin' servers, i cant do a single thing on Ultimate Team without having to wait 5 minutes for something to load from the servers. Right now I'm waiting for the Ultimate Team menu to come up and its been about 5 minutes now, and all I have, is a crap soundtrack playing, and the thing at the bottom with news. blunted, you must be one of the very few lucky ones, you pay for something, you would think you that you actually get more than half an hours play from it.

the lists for player trades is slow when it does happen and im not running anything else. this is shoddy from ea. i never had any trouble with this mode in champions league 06-07.

keeps stalling and i cant even press start or back to go back to an offline game, i have to press the circle in the middle to go back to the dashboard

Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
