People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment, is developing a new AAA game.

"We've been working on it since the beginning of the year," studio boss Sebastian Wojceichowski told Game Pressure. "Before that, we were polishing the concept."

Despite the fact that the game is still in early development, People Can Fly have already secured a publisher, something that Wojceichowski believes is “testament to our vast experience."

Beyond that, no more details are known about the project. There's no guarantee it'll even hit consoles, so bear that in mind. The Studio promises more information in 2017.

In addition to the unannounced AAA game, People can Fly is also working on a smaller, digital-only game, as well as supporting EPIC with Fortnite and Unreal Engine.

  • We NEED a Bulletstorm 2 on current gen!! #nuffsaid! :)
  • #1. I agree. Liked bulletstorm but after what they did to gears of war I kind of hate them.
  • Ok, please no one bite my head off for asking this but I've been wondering for a while, what does AAA stand for?
  • We need Bulletstorm 2 with more weapons and more sick and twisted moves to kill the living daylights out of scumbags :D
  • #3, I've always understood AAA to mean top-end titles such as Gears of War, Halo, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty - all the high-end money making games. Maybe I've been wrong assuming that all these years though...
  • Hopefully this means a DLC sale for People Can Fly games on the horizon?
  • they need to put bulletstorm's dlc on sale first, before launching any sequel :P
  • @3/5: Yeah, it doesn't actually stand for anything, just means a high-profile title. They usually receive good support and marketing from one of the larger publishers, will always be a full retail release, etc. You could probably break down the types of games into AAA, Budget, and Indie.
  • AAA usually = overhyped shit, in some cases the hype is justified, that's how I understand it.
  • @5/8 thanks. I thought it might be "Action/AdventureA..." but I couldn't figure out what the third A meant. Now I know it is not that.
  • Bulletstorm 2 please!
  • "People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment, is developing a new AAA game." Oh yeah, those two games that I hated immensely. But hey, maybe PCF will do something fun this time.
  • My interpretation was a title a studio was dedicating a lot of money/manpower resources into. But yeah after judgement it seemed a bit egotistical to attribute getting a publisher down to their "vast" experience
  • AAA means the game is rated to have high production value.
