I think that 800 points is the amount MS should be charging "originally." Get it?
Anyway, already have this game on disc, and I could get it for cheaper than $10 if I wanted to buy it. And this is the Lost Chapter version that we're talking about, right? |

Still not convinced by the "Originals" on the Marketplace, I mean to be fair most of those games can be picked up elsewhere cheaper than on the MP, and there is no extra's thrwn in, so to be honest, as much as it's nice to see MS give us some more reductions, it'll take a big effort to beat a Pre-Owned copy of a game . . .

If it was the lost chapters (which I never played) or had achievements then I'd pick it up, but as is you can get the disc for lost chapters used for less then $10, so I don't see the point in this. |

Is this game backwards compatible? The local gaming stores sell it here for $5 used (almost all the original xbox games are this price).

Having just finished Fable II, thinking it was a weak, but good game. I will pass.
Besides, Used Xbox games are not exactly rare or expensive. And buying a game off Xbox live like this just feels like a way to get screwed over by DRM. |

I prefer if possible to have my games on a disc.. and from what I was told in the past this isn't The Lost Chapters version ,but the original one that was first released. Don't know about anybody else don't see why someone would want the original nowadays when the Lost Chapters version is really cheap as well. |

Not getting any xbox originals until they come with achievements.
Just one 500pt achievement for finishing the damn game (they're all long enough) would be enough incentive for me to fork out $10-15 on all those suckers.

This is the original version, NOT the more complete version (Lost Chapters). After playing the lost chapters you realise some of the great parts left out. It makes the first version (the one on sale this week for 800 points) feel a bit "empty".
So, the weakest version of the classic game + no other extras such as achievements + taking up hard drive space = no sale.
Whilst Fable 1 is a great game, this offer is one to miss. Buy it pre-owned instead. |

Achievements cannot be put into Xbox Originals, the only enticement you have is that they are fun.
Personally, I would say DO NOT BUY THIS. The Original Fable made excellent use of the Original Xbox's pressure sensitive buttons which is a feature not replicated in the xbox 360. This means that the ability to vary how much tension is in your bowstring is gone, and for me that is not a nice feeling. Play it on Xbox. |

I've bought like five of these Originals, Black, Sid Meyer's Pirates, Psychonauts, Halo and some other one I don't remember right now. I think they are too high though. But then I remember that I paid $20 for Puzzle Quest Galactrix and have basically done the same puzzly for about 200 times so far. So atleast your getting a real full game with a story and real actions. And it's convenient not to have to run out to the game store sometimes. |

But I think the "sweet spot" for these Xbox Original on Marketplace should be set at $8. I know that's high still for some but it's not near as bad as 1200 MS Points. Hey and what about FLOCK for 15 bucks? WTF?? |
