#5 and 6:

Are you guys stupid? Giving blood saves lives first off and isn't something to joke about, secondly. I would give blood for free but giving out incentives is nice too. I live about 3 hours drive away from LA so I can't see myself doing this, but it's cool to see that Capcom and ARC are in this together and are using a gruesome game to help get more people out to donate.

On a little side note, the new CG Resident Evil movie is pretty fuhgin' sweet!

That's pretty sweet, back when I was 18 I had a gastric ulcer and needed blood. So I always give thanks to those that give blood because without it I would have died :).

Nice job Capcom

Capcom always has ..interesting ideas to promote their products huh....didn't they use a chip bag that said Bio-hazard on em to promote the Japanese copy of Degeneration? lol got to love Capcom IMO! Can't wait for my copy of Resident Evil 5 CE I just finished paying for

Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:00:13 PM

On a totally seperate note.... I'm in the UK, and if I bought an xbox game that's only out in the states (i.e. Stoked) and had it sent across here, it would still work on our systems... Would it?

Any info would be appreciated!

I like to donate blood. Just the idea of saving someone's life, and them having your blood in them is cool to me. I haven't done it in a while, though.

Too bad this event is over here on the East Coast.

Wow, those puns were terrible. Too bad for all of us that aren't in the Hollywood area. I would do this if I was anywhere close to Hollywood, but seeing as I am on the other side of the country, I am out of luck.

Not entirely sure what you mean... D'you mean some games aren't region locked? How would I go about finding out? I'm trying to get my hands on "Stoked"....

Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:35:38 PM

@27: Would you be happy to know your blood saved the life of a murderer or rapist? Doubt it. I never give blood cuz I hate needles and had a bad experience at a hospital, but my love for rare video game collectibles would out do my fears and I would've so been there...too bad I live in the South. -_-

they shouldnt really put one of these in the UK since it would be london like everything else :( personaly i dont feel like a 3-5 hour drive depending on traffic on the M5 etc, if it was more local they i wouldnt have a problem.

nice to see capcom do this type of stuff but its a shame in US though... maybe when RE6 comes out in a good few years they might do it again but in the UK.

Comment #89 by Skid Row Trash
Thursday, March 05, 2009 @ 07:56:34 AM

I've never donated blood in my life, ever, never normally would... BUt I would love to for Resident Evil 5. What a great idea!! It reminds me of when Mercs 2 came out all the cheap gas they were giving away in Europe.

Bring it to Ottawa Canada and I'll give me blood.

I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
