it wasnt really that bad of a game i bought it just because ive gotten ever other mortal combat before it and i still had fun playing the game even if there is less blood

I had my suspicions about it, and that it wasn't going to be that good, but it really took me by surprise when I played it with my buddy. Of course I got my ass handed to me, but the game felt really smooth to play and it's definitely one of the better next gen fighting games.
Let's hope Street Fighter IV feels this smooth or even smoother than this. |

| Never played MK vs DC and didn't like the look of it though the idea was interesting. I hope they make a game like Deadly Alliance which imo was the best MK game to date. MK needs Reptile! |

| It would be awesome to some new characters if they release any DLC. I really liked this game, it's not all about blood and gore, I mean, look at soul caliber 4. No blood at all, and still an amazing fighting game. So you can't blame them for tonning it down to have a bigger audience with the teen rating and all, because it still is a great game. |

Oh come on, I don't need that much gore. I thought the recent MKs had too much gore that it became silly and boring.
MK vs DC plays nicely and is balanced. I enjoyed this and if they make more like it, I'll be very happy.
But I still wonder if we're going to get the DLC promised for MK vs DC. |

Thought: develop a more compatible controller. The 360 controls may be smooth overall, but you need the ol' D-pads if you want to be a combo master. LIGHTNING fast because you knew you were hitting the buttons correctly, not "did I move the analog stick a full quarter length?"
(yes, the 360 has a d-pad but not a true one, take one apart and compare it to a busted SNES controller). |

Gore = Boring (It got very boring the more gory it was.
This MK kicked ass.
It doesn't have any bugs other then a little lag issue.
Overall, This MK is fantastic. |

| It's not Mortal Kombat 9. MK vs DCU wasn't MK8 so how can it be 9? MK vs DCU was more than obvious to be a spin-off. The next one will either be MK8 or remade from scratch but I doubt that. It'll be MK8 not 9. |

MK vs. DCU was actually the best fighting game in the last 3 years. Better than Soul Calibur 4, better than Dead or Alive 4 and surely better than each and every Tekken ever made. If they now re-add blood and real fatalities in it... It's like a dream. Can't get better than that. |

Yeah I own one of those copies and this is good game and I like to control The Batman and The Joker and I think alot of the Batman action iz a big reason why this game sold so well (he is featured prominently on the cover)
Ok they need to add Robin and Aqua-man tho.

| Sure, it wasn't the best MK ever, and the toned down gore was disappointing, but to be honest it's pretty much the same fighting engine as before, with new (annoying) mini-games, meaning it's just some simple fun for those who find Street Fighter or Virtua Fighter too complicated. Besides, doesn't Batman vs. Superman rule? |

Yeah, the next MK game is tentatively Mortal Kombat 9. It's weird that the next MK game is considered as MK9 because then it makes MK Vs. DCU Mortal Kombat 8. The thing is that MK Vs. DCU didn't proceed the real MK story a bit.
Anyways, good to hear that there will be MK9. Oh and Ed Boon told us last week that there will be downloadable content for MK Vs. DCU!

| if they really wanna keep the franchise going they should have all the charecters with some new ones of course, and they should be a little more classic on finish moves keeping it at 2 fatalities 1 babality 1 animality 1 brutality 1 friendship and 1 enviroment fatality for every level. maybe even some co op fatals if theres 2 on 2 fights |

| i wasnt really bothered about there being no blood in the game because i am a long time fan but those fatalitys were just terrible especially kano's where he just jumps on their chest! hopefully they'll bring out a wii version because i have moved onto the wiii console |

Someone here said, just because it sold over a million means it's a good game, well...THE HELL IT IS! That Wii game that came with an extra remote sold millions and it SUCKED, so just because the game sold a lot doesn't mean it was good. I mean look at games like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Psychonauts, great games, but didn't sell as much as hoped.
So far the best 3D MK has been Deception, and I can't wait till Midway makes another MK game like that one. Then and only then will my faith in the franchise be restored. |
