13 Days of Gears Written Friday, January 23, 2009 by David Creech Xbox and Warner Bros. have teamed up to sponsor 13 Days of Gears to celebrate the release of the latest Friday the 13th film, with 65 daily prize packages and 13 grand prize packages. To sign up you merely need to download a free gamerpic. One entry per day by playing a specific gametype in a public match, and if you play all 13 days then you get one entry into the grand prize drawing. The single player campaign was alright. Chapters 1 and 5 were the best. The overall experience was bad though especially when I played the MP. Well except for Horde it was cool for awhile and eventually it got boring. The MP itself was a shotgun whore fest and new players like myself never really had a chance at playing it because it just wasn't fun. At least when I played the Halo series (Halo 3 was my first online experience) online I had a chance to progress and get better as I played it. I now am a damn good player. I've played COD, Halo & Rainbow 6 online considerably and they are nowhere near as bad as Gears for it's MP glitches & lag. I know it's not my connection, nor other people's, it's all on Epic! If you can become a very accomplished glitcher and master the art of shooting where the person actually isnt, then yes, you can become very skilled at the game. But thats simply not a good gaming experience. |
