Cinematic Director Greg Mitchell, the man responsible for video production and cinematic direction in every Gears of War title since the second game, has announced that his departure from Epic Games to join Microsoft's Vancouver-based Gears of War team at Black Tusk.
Mitchell leaves after nine years with Epic, joining Black Tusk alongside former Epic and Gears of War colleague, Rod Fergusson, who is leading development at the startup studio on the next Gears of War game exclusively for Xbox One.
Not much has been revealed regarding the next Gears of War game, at present, suggesting that E3 2015 could represent the perfect opportunity to blow the roof off in LA this June. Xbox head Phil Spencer has said that Microsoft will be showcasing new first-party IP, as well as its already announced first-party titles at E3, making Gears of War for Xbox One a shoo-in, surely?
