Ok I've not really gotten the hang of this NXE so whats the difference between the premium and the free, can i still play it all for free and get the achievables. |

It does say something about the premium is how you play multiplayer so I guess it better to pay the extra! |

Judging by the description I believe the difference is that if one person has the Knothole premium pack and wants to play co-op in the base game locations but not Knothole, ie with someone who doesn't have the premium pack then the other player must have the free download. But to play co-op on Knothole Island both must have the premium. |

Free probably means you can play it just not get achies, where as Premium you can. I'm wondering if you can just get the Free and boost the achies with someone that has Premium? Hmm. |

I took it as just like the Marvel Ultimate Alliance free DLC required to download so that you can play with somebody who has purchased extra characters. |

Free download = No Knothole Island but access to the new leaderboards.
Premium = Knothole Islands quests, etc.
I think that pretty much sums it up. |

I downloaded the free pack first and the submarine guy told me "I have yet to repair my submarine, so no journey to Knothole for now". So I just downloaded the Premium pack, assuming the free one is just to play coop. |

Yeah, with the free DLc you get to meet Gordon the Submariner and recieve a little taster of some free gifts from him.
The premium content gives you the quests and whatnot.
Well worth the 800MP! |

the puzzles in the tower are alot more tricky than anything from the basic game, your gonna need to use time stop to move around alot in one of them put it that way.
i wonder when u get to resurrect your dog though?
oh take some puny carrots and cheap wine with you you'll need em :) |

the Free one allows you to play with people who have the premium, you have access to the Island's items but you can't go to the island all it will say if you try is "My sub has holes and needs to be repaired first" then the game will tell you to upgrade to the premium |

I think it may have been roughly answered earlier. But the Free Version enables you to play with people who have got Premium, it enables you to recieve items from Knothole, but you can't PHYSICALLY travel there, nor can you get the achievements related to Knothole Island.
If you can REALLY be bothered D/L 513mb for a simple activation of Multiplayer, just pay the 800points and get the Premium package, save the wasted D/Ls |
