Does everyone remember I Am Alive? Cast your mind back to the end of the Ubisoft Press Conference at E3 last year ... the trailer with the city collapsing on itself? That was I Am Alive. First and foremost let me smash some teenage boys dreams out there before the good stuff ... No, Jade Raymond is not involved with this title.

The latest issue of GamesTM houses the first indepth article and feature on the game since E3 and in it a few nice bits of information are left for us to scavenge on.

I Am Alive throws you in to the shoes of Adam Collins after a mysterious earthquake rips through downtown Chicago. You must then make your way across the city to find your girlfriend and get the attention of the local government task force in order to survive this disaster. Senior producer Alexis Goddard states that the I Am Alive will revolve "around the concept of social chaos."

The article discusses how the team are making ammo scarce, possibly more than you've ever seen before, meaning that you may find yourself having to use an empty gun to ward away dangerous looters. Intimidation is a powerful tool.

I Am Alive is played from the view of the first person, a lot like Mirror's Edge with the same sort of non reliance on guns as well - although you won't be free running in this obliterated Chicago. Goddard states that they "wanted the player to really feel the power of Mother Nature, to feel the danger coming from the collapsing towers and devastating rifts, feel the chaos happening all around him. There's nothing like a first-person view to create that kind of emotion."

	wow we all beg for a fresh game that isn't something thats been done a million times and then of course we get some negitive people looking for the next Madden Final Halo of War part 75 2010 All in all Sounds like something to check out.

	Seems like a mix of Cloverfield (The main character traveled across the destroyed and monster infested New York to get to his girlfriend) and Alone In The Dark. I'l have to see more on the game before I even decide if I'l buy it or not.

	Yes, I'd have to say that the title of this article made me think it was about the game being terrible. I can see why it was titled that now, as in earthquake type disaster. It made me read the article, but I would of read it anyway. Are you working for a newspaper now with those headlines? They always try to make headlines sound bad. Even for good news...

	#26 I thought the same exact thing. Hope they make a demo. Seems fun, but I need a hands-on time first. Glad they made it Chicago, if they made it New York, paranoid people would overrun news stations with: "ZOMG IT'S 9/11 AGAIN!!!"

	There's already been a game like this, albeit in 3rd person. It was called S.O.S. and it was on the PS2. It wasn't too bad, and it did show there is a lot of potential for a game where survival depends on wits and intelligence (a big feature of S.O.S. was the need to find drinkable water) and not gunplay. When real disasters occur, survivors rarely tell stories about how they got out through the medium of firefight. #28 - Wasn't Midtown Madness was set in Chicago?

	Well, the trailer certainly looked interesting, and this bit of info makes me even more interested. At last, a developer is thinking of new ideas and twists rather than lazily feeding the hordes of "Call of Halo Gears 14" drones that cream themselves over banal sequel mediocrities.

	never heard of the game but it sounds interesting ill be keeping a lookout for it, hopefully it will have various ways to deal with scenarios and not be linear as hell that way the replay ability will go up

	Sounds like something really new that never been done before but, its prolly gonna flop. I'm guessing really short story line but with incredably long and boring missions. Just my opinion of it thought from the story.

	The title of the article is very deceiving, but honestly what's so bad about that story description? The fact you aren't give a plethora of ammo to blast away every enemy? Honestly if that is the excuse for why not to like this game so far it's a very poor one.

	I'm interested in this now, another First Person game that is both original and doesn't involve weapons aside from when it has to. Since I loved Mirror's Edge, I will probably love this game. ...though the premise has already been done with Disaster Report >_>

	Why can't a first person game not have any guns? It'd be far more realistic, in my opinion, to just have the main character carry around a backpack with a few basic supplies, and maybe, just maybe, a hunting knife. I didn't know people left empty guns around in an earthquake stricken wasteland, by the way. Even Mirror's Edge is guilty of having guns, but guns aren't even fun to use in that game. Why not just take a stand, Ubisoft? Say no to guns, goddammit! I'll still play it though. It sounds interesting.

	I was very intrigued with this game when it was announced. I hope it turns out well. For now though, my only fault with the game is the title. I Am Alive? WTF is that? Aftershock would have been a sweet title.

	I'm actually quite interested in this title. Just hope all this hype and development time will not be a let down like Alone in the Dark was.
