Left 4 Dead DLC Announcement Coming Soon Written Tuesday, December 30, 2008 by Dan Webb In a video podcast over at Kotaku, Chet Faliszek, one of Left 4 Dead's writers talked about the future for Left 4 Dead and more importantly, the game's upcoming downloadable content. Faliszek stated that the DLC for both 360 and PC, which is set for a simultaneous release, will be announcd "shortly". Faliszek noted that if it hadn't have been for the holiday period, the announcement would likely have been made already. The new DLC according to Faliszek is said to include new versus maps and "some new stuff". What the "new stuff" is, only time will tell, but we're praying for some more co-operative scenarios. | |

Why did the infection happen, who started the whole thing, who are the characters you play as etc.? Also with the weapons thing some new ones would be nice i.e. some different variations on the handgun. A magnum would not be erroneous. Some melee weapons would be extremely realistic rocking a fire axe, a baseball bat, maybe a hidden samurai sword. Imagine old military man Bill cut up the horde, nice!! And people that's not unrealistic there is a lot of swords around. Also some new special infected would be nice. The Hunter, Boomer, Tank, and Smoker get old quick. It's a great game though. Fun for sure and looking forward to the DLC. |

The only reason TF2 dlc is costing us and the same for L4D dlc is because microsoft wants to charge for it while Valve doesn't. I like the new survivors idea... maybe some new random zombie models... new campaigns are a given. |

Like, an assault rifle is still an assault rifle, but sometimes you get one with better accuracy, other times a more powerful one spawns, that sort of thing. It'd really suit the on-the-fly make-do spirit of the game. Also be good if they added some new game modes. I think even something as simple as a kind of time attack mode for the campaigns, where you're being chased by an uber horde and if you fall behind you get swamped. |

I'd love to see a couple of new campaigns added and no character additions. As far as weapons, I'd be happy with just 1-2 more additions. It's the game's simplicity that makes it great and believable. For weapons, I wouldn't mind seeing melee weapons like a bat, pipe, or chainsaw. Also a double-barrel shotgun would be nice, maybe a sniper rifle that can penetrate multiple zombies. Or a stick of dynamite... |
