Resident Evil 5 Achievement Preview Written Sunday, December 21, 2008 by Dan Webb Since opening the doors to the public a few months back, our sister site PS3Trophies.org has published its fair share of trophy lists. The third party developed titles, as expected have exactly the same lists on both platforms with the only difference being the points value and the inclusion of a platinum trophy for PS3 users. Today, PS3T published the Resident Evil 5 trophy list and it gives you an insight in to the upcoming achievement list with the only missing details being the point breakdown. Barring some incredible miracle that means Capcom decide to create two separate lists, expect these to be the achievements when the game ships in March 09. | |

Anyway, I agree with many of the above comments that this list is very unoriginal. Although I believe many people are underestimating how difficult this game will probably be on the hardest difficulty setting. Not saying it will be impossible, but much more trial and error will be involved than most here think. I am however pissed there arn't achievements reguarding mercenaries mode. I hope to god the mode has been brought into the game, as I haven't heard anything about it thus far. |

I like my 360 for sure, but the PS3 has won me over for multi-plat titles. If you have a nice LCD TV the PS3 is where the games needed to be played minus 360 exclusives. Have any of you seen what Uncharted looks like or Metal Gear Solid IV. It's sick how good they look on the PS3. I couldn't even imagine what something like Gears would look like on it. Also Dual Layer Blu-Ray. It's great. One of the areas I give a win to in the 360 dept. is Multiplayer. Can't be beat at the moment. Although why can't people just enjoy all three systems. Just play em' and revel in each of their greatness. |

Beat all the difficulties, All the chapter achievements, Four different collection ones. They lack extreme creativity and I think Capcom could've done better. And for those of you that think the 360 achievements will be different than trophies they won't be. If it's multi-plat the achievements/trophies are the same minus the platinum trophy for obtaining all trophies. But screw em' it's RE5 and that's all the achievement that's needed. |

And yeah looking at the comparison in sells the ps3 is desperate. IV PLAYED BOTH and i remember when resistance was brought out to challenge GOW 1 i thought WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS. And the 'big' games brought out since are scandalous. metal gear solid for example. Not a bad game but was ps3's own most anticipated game? WTF is that about? Lets compare it to xbox only titles last two most anticipated.. HALO and GOW2... need i say more. BIG difference in hype. (By the way im not a great fan of either halo or gow2 where both hugely disapointed me but thats from such big expectations from GOW1) so hey i guess im not that bias |

On top of that next year PS3 is going to have some great exclusives. Heavy Rain, God Of War III, GT 5 (racing), Uncharted 2 (first one was a graphical masterpiece) and others. Most of what is coming out on the 360 is Multi-plat. What's more I'm sick of Microsoft's crappy console itself. They haven't even taken the time out to fix there piece of crap hardware. I haven't red ringed, but my video card took a crap and then they voided the warranty because they said it was my fault. No problems with the PS3. NONE. Like I said though I enjoy both systems. It's pathetic that fan boys actually get homo with one system so much. Play em' all. They all have something to offer. |
