Mirror's Edge DLC Drops in January

Mirror's Edge DLC Drops in January
Written Thursday, December 04, 2008 by Dan Webb

EA and DICE today announced that they are planning to release Mirror's Edge's first downloadable content pack before the end of January for 800 Microsoft points.

The 800 points will give gamers the chance to set new times and race against the world's best and each other, on nine new races across seven "all-new and totally redesigned Time Trial maps."

There is no word yet on whether the DLC will include achievements but we've posed that question to EA and when we know, you'll know.

January it is then ... Personally, I can't wait.

For 800 points, there better be a LOT more time trials... and achievements.

Agains't each other, do they mean an online mode?

Doubt it, but would be sweet and a huge value for the game!

Will be picking this game up after xmas in the sales played the demo to death but had that many other awesome games wanted to save this one, so DLC always welcome but 800 points sounds a bit steep for some time trials im guessing there might be more they aint announced yet.

I never understood why people complain to spend some MS-points for additional stuff for their games!
800 points are not more than 10$!
If you don't like it, don't buy it!
I mean the devs surely don't do DLC in their 'freetime'...!

and the ps3 gets it for free...

Yeah but it was also meant to be PS3 exclusive, and given CoD, Halo etc charged the same for a few maps, I think it seems to be the going rate.

Hell, PS3 gets online play for free too, it's just the rpice we pay for having the best games console on the market.

Sad but true.

PS3 can have it for free... knowing the lagg and 2 hamster powered servers they have i doubt the content will be much use to PS3.

Not a hater of PS3, its graphics are un-comparable but it's online is really a huge let down.

then again... what can you say... Sony should really stay away from anything computer related... stick to what your good at (Y)

Whys everyone moaning? I personally dont have the game but it says that you get 9 new races on 7 new tracks, thats just over 100MS points per track?
Are the tracks really small or something or did people not read the news properly?

Sweet. I just got this game, and I loved it. 800 i think is somewhat of a deal considering they could have charged individually. If these maps are as good as the game, then by golly people, rejoyce this, and when will you see good DLC for a great game not even 2 months(or so) after a game release, not usually unless the game sucks.

The new time trial maps unless more expansive than the ones already in the game are not worth 800 points. Maybe 400 to 600 points. Mirror's Edge is a great game, but like someone said on here it feels like an extended demo. I beat the whole game in less than 2 hours. On top of that the time trial stretches aren't too difficult so you can get the achievements and good times quite easily. PS3 will definitely get better in 09' I mean the system itself is way better than the Xbox. Although hopefully they get some server fixes by the time Killzone 2 comes out.

No new story? Bugger, oh well I'll save 800 points I guess, time trials don't do it for me, if it included live multiplayer I know a mate and I would both get it but with just more of the time trials it's not for me.

Anyway, this game is incredible, stop being whining little bitches and either buy it or don't!
I am definitely going to buy it, purely because its a great game.

Didn't know you needed more reason.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
