Last Remnant DLC Planned For December

Last Remnant DLC Planned For December
Written Wednesday, November 26, 2008 by Dan Webb

Before you jump in to a rage about DLC being released so close to a game's release  date and developers acting disgracefully by not including the DLC in the retail disc ... This is not the time.

Although Square Enix are releasing DLC so close to the game's release, fear not, the 4 planned sets are either free or will cost a tiny amount of Microsoft points that you won't even blink an eye. Seriously ... What's 100 Microsoft points between friends?

The Last Remnant DLC is as follows:

Challenge Pack 1: “Purgatory’s Sins”
Price: Free
Release date: Gold Member: 1st December, 2008
Silver Member: 8th December, 2008
Level up your game with this pack of ultra-challenging guild tasks. Adequate game progression is necessary.

“The Key of Ancient Ruins”
Price: Free
Release date: Gold Member: 1st December, 2008
Silver Member: 8th December, 2008
Unlock the gates to the Ancient Ruins with this key, and discover what mysteries lie within its crumbling depths.

“March to War Set”
Price: 100 MSP
Release date: Gold Member: 15th December, 2008
Silver Member: 15th December, 2008
Three special unlockable formations (Scatterswarm, Goblet and Catapult) that will boost your tactical strength during battle.

Challenge Pack 2: “The Price of Lies”
Price: Free
Release date: Gold Member: 22nd December, 2008
Silver Member: 29th December, 2008
Add this pack of the most difficult guild tasks yet. Adequate game progression is necessary.

I'm betting if it was getting good reviews, they'd be charging for everything.

Still can't get over how odd the battles appear. Will have to see how it fairs I guess.

Haven't played, but I always download the free DLC just in case there is a rainy day and I pick up a game that had some and it for now costs money (Timeshift DLC anyone?)!

The one pack that costs is the same pack you get free if you reserved the game. So I already have that pack, and will be happy to download the free packs when they release. :)

Poll

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
