| I'll get it b/c I still like the whole Halo universe. $80 is pricey for what you are gettin'. I wish it was a little less. I have tons of MS Points so it is kinda a waste to get the LCE version with the maps. Oh well. |

Well if the new Halo maps wont come out for months after this is released, I might have to get it.
Most likely though, I wont be picking this up. Too much Halo and not enough good relations with the game! |

| 80.00 isnt that bad considering your geting a map pack that would run you 10.00 anyways plus in game vehicles. Pretty sweet getting it for sure. |

| This means the new Halo 3 maps will be coming out later! Gah why does bungie need to torture us but listing the achievements already and not giving us any of the maps almost 4 months?! I was hoping the new maps would come out in January or something. |

| I will not trust Microsoft this time with their limited edition products. There is much chance that they will first downgrade the limited edition because they are suddenly unable to deliver it on time. Second, when you receive the game, the download content voucher will be missing and you will have to wait more than 3 weeks to know that now it's available to anyone for free. That’s what they did with Fable 2 LE. |

| They mythic maps are also available in the regular edition of Halo 3: Recon. I'll get this game, but not paying $20 extra dollars for a map I'll get free later and some extra weapons/vehicles/skills for use in game. Who the hell cares? |

| Some of you seem to think that $80 is overpriced, but if you think about it, you're getting a $70 special edition and a map pack that costs $10. Don't think MS is screwing you...at least don't think MS is screwing you more than the other special editions out there... |

After Fable 2's LE, think i am gonna steer cleer... still never got my special armor that was supposed to come with it....
Plus only half of the map pack??? so what are you gonna have the option to only by half when it comes out, or are you gonna still have to pay for the three maps you just bought AGAIN.... sounds too shady

| not really a huge fan of strategy but used 2 play it a lot and i love halo so maybe ill get the regular edition cause getting new halo 3 maps,a book and not much extra in game content doesnt seem worth the extra 20 bucks 2 me. |

| what the hell!! It says only 3 maps...sandbox, assembly, and Orbital. But the DLC achievements already released do not so sandbox but instead list other maps such as longshore, citadel, and heretic. |

I bet that they'll release three of the maps with Halo Wars and three of them with Halo 3: Recon, but all six will be available via Live.
I'm looking forward to this game. I like a good RTS, I love the Halo universe, and this game looks like it was built from the ground up for the console. I will get the SE just because I'm a sucker for special editions. |

Hmm... I wonder what will the Honor Guard Wraith tank look like. Honor Guards were the elites with a special big crown kind of helmet seen in the end of Halo 2.
Halo Wars will probably have many almost-new vehicles from Halo 3. In Halo 3 there were at least three new space ships what were shown only in cutscenes (see The Ark intro).
Also you could see constantly the Black Bomber flying in Halo 3. Also, one of them fell in ground so you could walk on it.
I'm excited of Halo Wars, I'll buy it. Even though I'll probably by the Mythic Map Pack separately. |

I'm going to go pre-order the special edition of this today. $10 for a map pack, $60 for Halo Wars, and another 10 for a graphic novel, a patch, and some in-game stuff.
Sounds good to me!
Many special editions come with much less.
Related: Last week I picked up Assassin's Creed PS3 Special Edition for $20 at EB. I like how they put the original case of the game inside the special edition case.
I was given Prey SE, and was annoyed by the paper sleeve with the game in it.
Putting the game in my DVD rack with my other game, while still able to put the SE tin on my shelf is nice. |

I looked up the image of the Halo Wars pack, and it looks like it's a tin DVD case, that will fit into the regular DVD racks, but still look cool. Like how Halo 2 did it.

I'm a loyal supporter of Bungie.
I think they'll release these maps in 2 seperate packs online, and that ODST will come with the remaining maps left out of the Halo Wars pack. So if you dont want Halo wars OR ODST, you could simply purchase the alternative... However, I think if you choose not to buy EITHER of those, you'd probably be looking at 1600 points. Keep in mind people. Bungie don't rig up these costs, its microsoft that chooses the cost of Arcade stuff, evident by Bungie Giving away COLD STORAGE for free.

I did kinda answer your question in my last post.
You do only get 3 of the maps.
I think bungie will give the OTHER maps in ODST.
Then Marketplace will offer 2 seperate downloads. 1 for the "Halo Wars Mythic Pack" and 1 for the "ODST Mythic Pack".
I'll be safe, buying ODST AND Wars CE so i have no problems. Just play it smart and safe and get them both.
