This game looks pretty good. When I saw this, I thought 'I should go download this now.' Then I realized my 360 red ringed.

I don't know will I even give it a try. It just looks too childish for me, unlike the first Banjo Kazooie (N64/XBLA). But if they'll advertise the demo enough, I might eventually download it.

This game might kill the B&K series.... but I just have to download it. I loved the originals as a kid.

Downloading... NOW! I can't wait for this game to release! I've already got it pre-ordered from Amazon.com for like $4 U.S. dollars cheaper. I thought that was pretty cool!

Well even if the game is good or not (havn't played it yet :P) at least they release a demo BEFORE the game came out.

i am so sick of demo's for games coming out after they've been released

There's also a demo for the new Tomb Raider game, too.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 09:52:13 AM

The graphics are really good but the gameplay isn't: the vehicles are too present and it's hard to control them. Furthermore, N&B is more about mini-games than platform imo. I lost hope concerning Rare games (very disappointed by Perfect Dark, and now by B&K). :(

I might check it out. I've never played any B&K games. Are they anything like Ratchet & Clank games? I really enjoyed Tools of Destruction on PS3 last year.

Anyways I'm much more excited to hear about the new Tomb Raider demo #12 mentioned. I've already preordered that game so I'm interested to try that demo asap.

c'mon rare you screw up conkers and perfect dark and now this. sigh.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 10:55:22 AM

@16 Oh come of it. How about everyone buy it and make it get loads of sales then tell Rare to make a sequel and they can just pretend gruntilda casted a spell on vechiles and kazooie has to do moves again. Adding vechiles is a bold step for the Banjo Kazooie franchise but so much negative comments isnt doing the game any good. Now whilst you complain about vechiles I will order and get Banjo Kazooie then kick the big fat butt of Gruntilda. And at the end it might say. 'See you at Banjo Four-iee lol. Anyway bout demo downloading now should be good

@SuperGaz

i didnt think rare screw Perfect Dark and Conker (WTF, conkers screwd!?!? are u crazy?) , but this game look like dont get even near the original two from N64 ... just can wait to see what they going to do in Killer Instinct...

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 12:18:11 PM

Well I've had it pre-ordered for months but after playing the demo I'm in two minds over cancelling my order. Don't get me wrong it looks fantastic but it's just not a platform game is it? The 360 really needs a great hi-def platform game , you know like the original banjo-kazooie games! I just don't get why Rare felt the need to change it and add crappy cars. They don't even handle well, far too twitchy and the slightest touch of scenery or another car and your spinning out. The car building is also too basic and annoying. IT'S JUST NOT BANJO-KAZOOIE WHICH IS WHAT THE FANS WANTED!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 12:44:48 PM

You can't blame Rare for wanting to be different and not do just another platform game. But when ur trying to revive an old franchise, you know theres fans of the originals, so you just dont mess with it THIS much. I think if they wanted to do a vehicle/platformer, they should have come up with a new IP and if they wanted to do a BK game, they should have made it like the old ones.
...But then again, Rare prob thot of that and said yeah well nobody gonna buy this no-name vehicle platform game, so lets add Banjo Kazooie to it...Oh well.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 12:50:37 PM

@20 They said in an interview, it got too boring making a same-old Banjo game. So they scrapped the classic idea and thought of something new... seems like they thought of themselves before the consumer. :-/

Although if you think about it, it (re-visiting classic way) would've sucked. If you get a job you hate, are you going to be more efficent than one you love? No.

Meh. This series should have stopped in it's prime. Let's hope it doesn't follow the same path Spryo the Dragon took...

And who knows, I may enjoy the full game.

"You no run so much, that's what vehicle for"

This quote from Mumbo is what ruined this game for me. Not that it wasn't bad anyway. I'm thankful that they gave a demo cause this game was bad. What ever happened to the epics that were Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie!? This game demo is garbage, I hope the actual product is fixed but this is just a large collection of racing mini games. There is virtually no platforming what so ever. I will just wait an extra week and get my XBLA version of BK..this game disappointed me so much..I feel as though my best childhood memory involving video games is best left in the past (and on XBLA). Microsoft ruined Rare. They tried to make it something it isn't, and failed. RIP Rare, and RIP my favorite gaming franchise, may you prosper on the Arcade for the

I see alot of people doggin' on this game. Well i don't blame them. It's looking pretty grim for me. Hopefully this will send a message to Rare and tell them that they slaughtered the game and if they think of making another, stick to them running around Gruntilda's Lair or Isle o' Hags. Nuff Said

It's so stupid and illogicial (of course) but really.... you can walk next to Grunty and SPEAK with her? I guess after 10 years, Banjo & Kazooie decided to say f*ck it, she's not so bad.

I thought the game was going to be okay. But the demo has shined a light - I will not buy this game. I will only buy the arcade version (thank god they didn't alter that....much)

WHY WON'T DEVELOPERS LET good SERIES ALONE???

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 08:30:54 PM

I don't think the game is that bad. Obviously its different from 1 & 2, but how long would it have been before people got bored of playing the same thing? There is still some original platforming elements, but its still a vehicle dominated game. As a fan to the series, I'll definetly be picking this game up.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 10:29:12 PM

I thought it was pretty obvious it wasn't going to be the same. open your eyes. I still liked it, but of course the originals were better.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 @ 10:30:33 PM

@blackout the thing is it's been so long since Kazooie & Tooie. The same old thing wouldn't feel so same old unless people decided to go back through the previous two games or something.

Not to mention there's been a serious lack of 3D platformers on the 360 in its lifespan. It could've really used a platformer Banjo.

A vehicle based platformer being original? Wait nope, Sony did that with Jak 3!

I was a big fan of the original series.
I downloaded the demo. I loved it. Y'all are on crack. And if you bothered to finish to the ened of the demo you see a vid of all kinds of cool stuff you can make. They had Banjo flying around in a GIANT power-ranger-esque battle droid machine thingy It was epic.

@56
How can you say something is epic & compare it to Power Rangers? I'm pretty sure that's an oxymoron.

My daughter loves the demo - I'm more into adult stuff like gears 2.

Most of you are just whining because of the different direction it's taken when you just wanted to feel a great sense of nostalgia. I just played the demo and it was good fun and am going to put in a pre-order.

A similar thing happened with GTA IV... They made it a lot different to it's predecessors and people complained a lot yet it has still achieved great critical appraise.

Gutted, i loved the Bk and BT, the demo is good for a completley different game. Why vechiles though..-.- why rare had to do that i have no idea. With the demo it looks more like a racing game with a free roam aspect, im gonna get it anyway just because i loved the old banjos but the demo has dissapointed me and the game probably will :(

No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
