2K and Gearbox have slapped a release date on the final Headhunter episode and final DLC overall for Borderlands 2, releasing a couple of screens for the add-on in the process. Borderlands 2's Headhunter 5: Sir Hammerlock vs. Son of Crawmerax will be out in mid-April.

Taking the action to Wam Bam Island, where Brick, Mordecai and Lilith have decided to take a relaxing holiday with Sir Hammerlock, 'Son of Crawmerax' will see the group calling in the support of Borderlands 2's Vault Hunters, when the serenity of their beach holiday is rudely interrupted. A beast snatches Sir Hammerlock and takes him underground.

Journeying across Wam Bam Island, you'll work with Crazy Earl and Mordecai to help recover the missing Hammerlock, before engaging in a boss battle with Crawmerax Jr., the son of the giant grab worm from the first Borderlands' The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC.

Borderlands 2 Headhunter 5: Sir Hammerlock vs. Son of Crawmerax will be available to download from April 15th for $2.99/£2.39/€2.99. The pack will include beachwear skins for each character, as well as a Crawmerax head for defeating the gigantic crab worm. • Any words of ACHIEVEMENTS!?
  • Final DLC? So no Hyperion Moon Base? Damn...guess we'll just have to wait for Borderlands 3.
  • They are still releasing DLC after they put out the GOTY edition? I know it's not a rule but don't most GOTY versions of games come with all of the DLC?
  • @1 seeing as the previous 4 headhunter packs didn't include achievements i very much doubt this will have any
  • @3 Oblivion GOTY only came with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. OT: I really like how much support Gearbox is giving to this game nearly a year and a half after release. I really would like to see where they are going to go with the third one. (We all know it's going to happen.)
  • Two level 15's are going against the son of Crawmerax? I hope it isn't that easy.
  • Final dlc eh? So no quality story additions just dress up and cash grabs. Time to dump the game finally. =(
  • I don't get these headhunters, there's not acheevos or trophies, what's the point who will buy them
  • @9 People who enjoy this game still and like even a little more content even if there are no achievements or trophies? I mean I think they exist somewhere out in the vast universe. Maybe.
  • @#8 So you didn't buy those just because they didn't have achievements? Let me guess, you consider it a waste of time if you can't show others (who probably don't care anyway) how you spend your time on Xbox? I feel sorry for everyone gamers who pass out on DLC for games they like just because it doesn't offer GS...
  • @ #11 I think people have forgotten that games are usually about having fun and not earning virtual numbers to show off and to compensate for uh. . .smaller objects.
  • No achievements = No purchase Also #12 probably has a "smaller object."
  • @#12 I don't think it's they forgotten, but I think this is new generation of gamers, that don't even know good old days when games were mainly PC and had no achievements. I mean this is such a big factor now, even steam has them. I have to say I gave in for first few years when I got my 360, but have since realized it's bs and in no way it is improving my feelings for the game. I would rather have in game challenges that unlock extra costumes/music/art than some bs points I can do nothing with=) Not to mention spoiling the games by reading what achievements I need so I can plan everything before I can even get my hands on the game. I've been there, done that, stopped it and am better for it=)
  • Hope they keep charters from to n bring them n borderlands 3 n bring some new ones as we'll the ones from borderlands 1
  • I'm only interested in these 'Headhunter' DLC's if I can buy them as a bundle and for very cheap, something like 50% at least, otherwise I'm not going to bother. Instead of 5 short DLC packs, I'd much rather they just did another large-ish DLC like Tiny Tina's. Surely that would sell so much better, I don't know anyone who has bothered with the Headhunter stuff.
  • Have you guys forgotten that you're on a website that is based around the best and easiest way to earn achievements? Of course there will be quite a few people who are on here who won't buy a DLC cause no achievements. I'm not gonna weigh in if its wrong or right but just let people game how they wanna game and leave them be.
  • @ #17 It's also a gaming news website that people come to about Xbox news. Very funny and pathetic how I was downvoted too, because of how RIGHT I truly was.
  • @15 - Ummm... what?
  • @12.... like lower Gamerscore? XD @17 It goes beyond that though. While we are achievement hunters (some more than others),this site goes beyond just one singular approach to gaming. It's about a community that loves games to game period. The guides, news articles, pm's and threads show how much we love to game. Some have a preference for achievements in dlc. Then there are others who don't care.Me personally, I fall on both sides of the fence. If they made dlc for a game I love (achievements or not), you can be damned sure i'd be all over it.There are quite a few games I wish had more post launch content. You say something about right and wrong.Well it's not wrong, but it's also right..if that makes sense. The thing about those who go for dlc with achievements only is sometimes they lose site of what gaming is supposed to be. "But I get my fun from achievement hunting",..well do you enjoy the game?..Yes I do.Well, wouldn't you enjoy more content for a game you liked?..um uhh well maybe, but it doesn't have achievements..so it's a pass from me. Are they wrong for thinking like that? No.However, it just boils down to what gaming is supposed to be about. Camaraderie community and fun. When you limit yourself to one side of the coin, you REALLY are doing yourself a disservice. You are right, but I wanted to shed a little more light on your view.
  • I play games because I love games I love getting achievements because they are fun I don't care if my DLC has achievements or not I've played all the Headhunters DLCs without achievements because I love Borderlands 2 There are plenty of games that offer DLC with achievements that I won't buy because the DLC is terrible When it really comes down to it DLC is optional Its a CHOICE
  • my co-worker's sister-in-law makes $68 every hour on the laptop . She has been without a job for 8 months but last month her paycheck was $16610 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Look At This,,,,,,,,, WWW.dub30.COM
  • @21 +1 from me bro. That's exactly what I was trying to get at.I've done the exact same thing. When it's not fun or a deliberate rip off, I wont even bother. It can become a slippery slope, when others try to dictate anothers habits. However, the main issue at hand has been fairly discussed and represented by our fellow members. *Back on topic:I can't wait until another sale on BL2's goty.Missed the black Friday sale last year.
