Mega Man 9 DLC Arriving Tomorrow

Mega Man 9 DLC Arriving Tomorrow
Written Monday, October 06, 2008 by James Parkin

Good news for all you itching for some Mega man 9 DLC. Tomorrow, Tuesday the 7th, you'll be able to download two DLC packs!

Endless Attack – Test your skills on a stage without end. Try to break the record for getting the farthest. Results will be displayed in the Rankings page. Not compatible with other Challenges.

Proto Man Mode - Play the game as Proto Man. Some of Proto Man's abilities may differ from Mega Man's. Proto Man has the Charge Shot ability, Power Slide ability, and a shield that he can utilize to deflect bullets at enemies. However, Proto Man also takes double damage and has double bounce back when he is hit.

There is no story for Proto Man and he is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges.

And there you have it! Keep your eyes on the marketplace tomorrow.

To play as a character that isn't Mega Man in a Mega Man game?

Damn right, it better be free.

No, it's not free.
It's $8.00 for something that was
already put in the game long ago.
So far, MM9 is up to $18.00

New achievements!? Have you seen the ones they have? I actually didn't buy this game because of the insanity of them. I really don't like playing arcade games longer than 2 hours. Only a few have kept my interest, and after playing the demo, I was done.

So, it's going to cost almost as much as the game itself to play as another character? Yeah that makes PERFECT sense...

It makes me sad that people like you exist, Tyger.

I must wonder why they took out the slide and powershot ability for megaman, those are classic as well! Especially the slide, they've been staple megaman for a long time! Endless stage may be interesting, but I'm going to skip on protoman, the game is already sadistic enough as it is, especially the first time through. Makes me wonder if the devs of the game played "I Want to be the Guy" sometimes. I've beaten both, but no achievements to bring me back to the later, nor protoman..unless he was free.

I'm only getting this when i beat the game.

So never.

I love Mega Man, but Capcom are having a laugh double charging us like this. If the DLC was ready on release why not make it part of the game???

No, this DLC is not free. It was $3 for the Endless Stage and $2 for Proto Man on the Wii.

I can't believe Capcom is sending out the DLC for the 360 version already. Game only came out last week!

Its a scam if there are no new achievments.

I like both of the download packs, they both seem like they will add time to the length of the gameplay which is good.

Poll

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
