What's with all those widescreen screens lately? Looking awesome. Makes me wonder if this is actually next gen or some loaded PC. Either way I have faith this game will be up to par with previous entries in the series=)

Gimme a HD remake of Thief I & II over this any day. Maybe I am too old but this game is Thief in name only, it has nothing that made the originals what they were.
I wish I was wrong.
This game could be great for all I know, but if shouldn't be called Thief.

This has been destroying my mind and I wanna know if you guys know, but when the Xbox one and ps4 come out, they'll be considered current gen. So then will the Xbox 360 and ps3 be considered past gen? Because they'll still have games coming out for them, which means they are still current.... Or what

@9 apparently there are no hammers, pagans or keepers or any of the scary elements in haunted areas.
Thief never encouraged combat, this game has takedowns and QTEs. and rewards combat, Xp for arrow head shots, etc, the old games never encouraged combat and Garret was weak as water, not Sam Fisher in mediveal gear doing takedowns.
The original game is my favourite game of all time and this really is too far a departure for my liking. Some people might like the new focus and takedowns and Hud elements, not me though and not the people being banned on eidos forums asking for Stephen Russell back.

Hmmm... that IS a bit alarming, as for "none" of the original enemies (or Keepers). I wonder if any of the City Watch will be whistling that tune that they used to do in Thief I & II?!
If you haven't played "Thief: Deadly Shadows," you really should. That game has THE scariest (creepiest, at least) level in it: "The Orphanage!" It's available for original Xbox & PC (Xbox versions are being bought-up everywhere... probably because of the new game, so get it quick)!!!
I don't want to say "who" Garrett runs into at the VERY end of Deadly Shadows (because it may or may not be a spoiler)... but my impression - if the new game follows up on that ending - is Thief "could" have co-op, or at least another playable character!
