Microsoft has released a trio of videos offering a closer look at Xbox One's peripherals, including the new controller, chat headset and the oh-so exciting play & charge kit.

Featuring some cutaway cross section bits to offer an x-ray look at some of the Xbox One controller's 40 design innovations, the videos show the new motors under the triggers that provide 'haptic feedback' and the new precision d-pad.

There's also a bit of an overview on the chat headset, which promises crystal clear chat, and the play & charge kit, which promises to charge up your controllers. The latter video we could have probably got by without. Anyway, you can check out the three vids below.

Xbox One is out in November.

  • nice
  • All I think about when I see these peripherals is my wallet and a few moths flying out. M$
  • @2 LOL..you're not alone.
  • @2 Same here
  • really
  • I love that the new mic will have the controls at the bottom again, I hated having the thing against my Neck.
  • The play in charge kit shows how it goes in if that is all it is without screws, I don't see why people complain the way they do it seems much easier and it get rids of that hump growth off the back of the controller
  • Hmm the controller appears to be a bit wider than the current one. Hopefully it's not too different I don't want my grip to feel miles from the buttons.
  • There sure do look slick. I wonder if the play & charge battery will last longer than the 360 one. I went for a Nyko charging cradle after mine went belly up. Those Nyko chargables last over 9 hours still.
  • I hate having the big block things at the base of controllers, gets in the way. This is why I use Skype with my Astros.
  • These videos, they exactly what I want to know about the Xbox one now, who gives a monkeys about the release date when I can watch a video of a rechargeable battery on repeat for 6 hours.
  • @6 Agreed it's back in the right place.
  • Looking good!!
  • Say good bye to disposable batteries? You mean say goodbye to your disposable income on having to buy this crap. Seriously,I am pissed I gotta pay 25 for a charge kit & 100 for a headset(screw that crappy xbox one,it'll be a POS like the 360 one).
  • Everything looks really good quilty and the headset looks nice and sturdy.
  • wonder if the play and charge kit will be the same at the 360's....2 shitty korean rechargeable batteries in a casing .
  • Props to MS for not using dubstep as the music.
  • The LB and RB look much better than the 360 ones. And I love the 360 controller.
  • Wish this site didn't use these videos. My phone will not play them (windows phone) what's wrong with YouTube?? :(
  • Is the connector of the play and charge kit standard micro usb? Would be nice to see MS using SOME standard protocol or interfaces for a change.
  • @19 same here. I am just really debating on getting the Xbox one on release since I work 84hrs a week and won't be able to do it justice :(
  • ads before ads gottra love it
  • i prefer my normal rechargeable (Eneloop). only time will tell to find out what the life is on those batteries.
  • @11 I hear that. Seriously November is less than 3 months away, when are we gonna get a real release date for fuck sake.
  • Looks like my hope for keeping the same headset and plug and play equipment is over
  • @23 I'm still rocking a set of eneloop batteries that came with my sanyo tv 7 years ago. Haven't needed to charge them yet and I've pulled them out and used them for "other tasks" all while I've had to change batteries about 3 times in my newer tvs.
  • @ 11; Nice smart-arse comment. Perhaps you should get a job rather than watching a 3 minute video for 6 hours?! :P
  • I hope they eventually bring out the rechargable battery dock like they did for 360. Always using that thing
  • @27 I have a job dude, how else d'you expect me to afford a One?
  • My $250 turtle beach already provides crystal clear sound, with plenty more options then this ever will. And it works with both PS3 and X360, with only advantage going to PS3 as I don't need any stupid cables... I sure hope it will work with next gen consoles as well, would hate to fork another $250 out=/
  • I hope they release a wired controller. I play at a desk. I prefer wired. No latency, no batteries, no random controller shut downs. Plus I can use it on my computer.
  • they are supposed to be making an adapter so you can use your x360 mic/headsets. and the new turtle beaches have the 2.5mm jack like they do now but come with the xb1 adapter
  • http://www.gamesradar.com/microsoft-releases-first-xbox-one-unboxing-video/?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=emp&utm_campaign=xboxoneunboxingvideo Each console will come bundled with a headset
  • cool
  • @30 They have announced an adapter that will allow current headsets to be compatible with the X1. I'm glad I can still use my Turtle Beach headset. Everything looks great. They put some time into the design of the new accessories.
  • "Say goodbye to disposable batteries."* *Only say goodbye for 3-6 months or so until the battery pack looses it's charge and you will have to say hello to disposable batteries again when it craps out mid-match. Then, wait until you can afford another battery pack. This also applies to the Play'n'Charge cable.
  • I miss the older 360 chat mics that allowed me to mute and increase/decrease the volume right by the controller. Looking forward to this coming back.
  • Price raise was expected when it's a new generation of hardware. I'm cool with it, but all I ask is that quality matches the price raise, and for what I can see in the videos, quality is good. Just one thing: No way I'm buying a black controller 'cause I find them boring as hell. So... games special edition controllers are welcome! (looking forward for a Halo X One controller).
  • i was wondering how the play and charge kit worked since the thing on the controller was huge,, didnt realize it was a cover. and im glad they brought back the controls for the headset where it plugs in at like the original 360 headset. i hated when they moved it up the wire
  • 30 second commercial to watch a 32 second clip (which is a commercial)
  • I said goodbye to disposable batteries last gen with PS3. Whey are they still selling the rechargeable battery pack separately? Even Nintendo with the Wii U GamePad and Pro Controller put a rechargeable battery right in there. But no, Microsoft has to be the greedy behind the curve cunts who still make you buy a battery separately. No excuse for it.
  • Would be nice if they'd replace the right stick with a trackball. One can only dream.
  • AHHH WHAT ABOUT THE WIRED CONTROLLER >:o
  • @20 - Yes its a standard micro-usb plug. If you have one, you can make the controller "wired" without having any kind of battery in it. It doesnt come with the system though so if you are one of the few that dont have like 5 of them laying around... ebay!
  • It's amazing how Microsoft can't figure out how to make a console that doesn't require a "Power Brick". It's 2013 Microsoft, even laptop power bricks are smaller than that.
  • Wow... The controller actually has a removable battery too...? Hmm, apparently Microsoft can't figure out how to make a controller that uses an internal battery. But, I'm sure all they see is money signs gotta keep that P&P cash flowing since they were shit this generation, I cant imagine they'll be any better next.
  • @2 lmao, that's exactly what I was thinking...
  • @19 you meant to say, "What's wrong with my windows phone." he he he The answer is a no-brainer...its not running android
  • and power bricks are good
