Announced at E3 as one of Xbox One's more off-the-wall launch exclusives, some fresh gameplay details for Hidetaka 'Swery' Suehiro's D4 (or 'Dark Dreams Don't Die' to give it it's full title) have emerged, indicating that the episodic adventure will play like a point and click game, with its Kinect functionality entirely optional and designed to be played sat down.
As it's from the creator of the manic and wilfully weird Deadly Premonition too, you can expect plenty of surreal humour as you play through the adventure as David, an odd detective who can touch objects and relive memories as playable sequences, while the Kinect functionality has you able to perform gestures and voice commands to control the game.
David must save his wife, Little Peggy, as numerous punch-ups, weird dancing moments, and bubblegum mishaps ensue. The game's cartoon visuals will employ a graphic novel style split-screen effect with panels, suiting the art style to a tee. Check out the E3 trailer below if you haven't already. D4 will be coming to Xbox One at launch in November.
