Dead Space Does It Again... For North America Anyway

Dead Space Does It Again... For North America Anyway
Written Friday, September 05, 2008 by Dan Webb

You know what they say about buses right? You wait for one, then two come along at once. Well, the same can be said about positive release date shifts and funnily enough, it's with the same title we announced last week.

Yes, that's right, EA have just announced that Dead Space will shift forward ANOTHER week to the 14th of October, well, for those in North America it will. We are informed that Europe will still have to wait till October 24th, but hey, it's still earlier than originally announced. Hoorah.

In other news, if you can't wait for Dead Space, I mean who can, check out http://www.noknownsurvivors.com site for a great online extension of the Dead Space narrative.

Still not enough of a fix? Check out our preview from Leipzig, it's hella cool.

Look out for a load more on Dead Space in the coming weeks as the release date approaches.

sweet! I dunno if I'm going to buy this on release but it definitely looks like it will be an awesome game. Too many other games coming out in October and November that I want. It might make it into the purchase list thought since it got moved up.

Don't know if I'm going to buy this or not, but it's being released now on my birthday so maybe I'll put it on my b-day list.

I didn't know "funnily" was a word!? LMAO!

Anyway, I agree with most of you, there are just too many other games that I want and will need all the money I can muster up to get them. I'll proly wait till January (the latest) to get Dead Space, but who knows. I don't think Dec. has many (if any) new releases i'm looking forward too, so I might get it then.

I didn't know "proly" was a word...

There are quite a few releases in this time frame, but that's because Oct-Dec is holiday season. The vast majority of games and new game systems are released at this time every year.

I'm going to take a chance on a new IP. Pretty much everything else coming out this year has a number at the end of the title. Not saying those games are bad, I just want game companies to start taking more chances with new titles.

Lol. Lucky old US of A. I suppose this gives us in the UK a chance to wait for the user reviews and to hear about any bugs or anything in the game. Looking forward to this one

Would probably buy this if it were released some other time of the year. Too much other interesting stuff coming out, like Left 4 Dead (can't wait!).

Too much good stuff coming out in a short period of time, probably will just have to rent this one. Although the prospect of being dragged around by alien zombie things is cool.
