Quantum Break remains one of the most interesting titles coming to the Xbox One and in this new vid we go behind the scenes at the Finnish studio to see how it is being made.

Featuring interviews with the devs themselves, the vid shows the lengths that Remedy is going to to make the time-fiddling, disaster-fest. “It’s a thrilling, tightly-paced, high octane action spectacle,” says writer and creative director Sam Lake.

Watch the vid below. Quantum Break is out in 2014, exclusively for Xbox One.

  • Still getting a PS4, Nice try Microsoft.
  • This, Ryse, and Forza are the day ones for me. I love Remedy.
  • Am i the only gamer waiting until the consoles come out to decide? Right now i wanna go to ps4 but the community doesnt seem as big, i mean the ps3trophies website barely gets any comments of posts compared to here.
  • @3 The ps4 will sell more, I actually expect both to be sold out at Christmas but in the long run, it will be interesting as ps4 pissing off the publishers is just as stupid as pissing off the community so it will be unique most people on the xb1 hate but honestly between now and launch ms can easily get rid of the drm and lower the price by 100.00 but who knows. On this I was hoping this would be a launch title oh well.
  • @1 why bother coming on here to comment with that pile of s***. if you dont want the xbox one then dont get it. no one is forcing you so stop wasting your time moaning about something which you dont even want
  • @4 that's the thing in theory it could go either way, but I can't see publishers ignoring the higher population of the PS4, just so they can lock out used games on the one, granted they'll have a higher copy to money ratio, but on PS4 they'll be more people to purchase day one and purchase DLC. But at the end of the day, I would just feel dirty supporting M$ and their monopolization business practices. With only certain retailers been allowed to sell preowned one games, you can pretty much wave goodbye to the independent retailer, granted only the daily check in effects me but I could not willingly support something that screws over so many people in so many ways.
  • @3 Yes, it is the most sensible decision to wait until the consoles come out, being a early adopter on any platform in a competition is a massive risk. But saying that, the PS4 community will definitely grow. For me, Microsoft have already lost my future gaming experience, this is based on using just an ounce of intelligence whilst leaving behind blind loyalty to a corporation who's every move is out to hurt their consumers rather then to provide a service to them. I do hope this game is good, but that alone won't be enough. Switching from Xbox to Playstation, for me, is more than just a platform switch. But instead a statement to the gaming industry that if successful will no doubt provide a better overall experience for future games. @5 Haha, made u mad. Why bother posting that POS comment? no-one if forcing you to comment or read it. Moan about my comment all you want. This is the truth.
  • One hell of a concept Mr Wake. This to me is a system seller.
  • Wouldn't be mine, even if I bought it, so who cares?
  • @6 As I said yea I expect a lot of people to do that, to me drm doesn't matter I want to buy my games digitally anyway *same if I bought the ps4* I would sense both will have the option to download the game at launch that would be my method. But you have to remember ea, and the other publishers were the ones that wanted the drm in the console. Ea has in the past left consoles pass without releasing any games for them and it wouldn't be hard for ms to give ea a bit of money to recoup some losses. most people hate ea I know that but the casually gamers buy ea games a lot of them due to there sport franchises and the random guy who wants madden or if in Europe fifa are going to buy the console that has that. As said though it would not be hard for ms to revert there drm practice before launch (I could see them cutting the price to but I assume cutting drm is more practical)
  • @10 EA's statement on the matter. http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/12/ea-did-not-lobby-for-used-game-drm Xbox DRM policies are integrated with the account holder. So every game you purchase regardless of publishers stance on the matter has a restriction as soon as you put the disc in to play the game. Insofar as registering every copy of a disc game with a Xbox Live account, the exception being, you are allowed to gift that copy once. I.E you will lose it forever, by giving it to a friend / gifted recipient. It will be hard for MS to revert their DRM practices, just look at the media shitstorm having very little effect on any changes to such practices. I feel as if the uninformed, lobby for the Xbox One. But in the end, a fool and his money are easily departed. In the case of Xbox One owners an extra $100/£70 worth + bonus over the console lifespan.
  • #1, agreed. Although, im going to miss my 50k gamerscore. I wish PS4 uses the # system. I don't necessarily like trophies.
  • @11 wait a minute... Once you gift a game to a friend you loose it?
  • @3 there is a lot of online gamers on the ps3 I have played old titles on xbox that have online and find 100-150 players online while the same game on ps3 will have 450-500 players. I think everyone on xbox sticks to COD. So far Xbox does have the better exclusives IMO and you know there will definitely be a gears game also.
  • @7 Im going from Sony to Microsoft. No one seems to be informed and is just going off of scare tactics Fanboys started. The used game fees is set by the developers and already Ubisoft, Activision and Microsoft said they won't charge anything on used games. Also the $400 version of the ps4 is equivalent to the 4gb xbox360 there is nothing to it the console with all the features cost $600 and with only killzone and infamous as exclusives at this time it doesn't seem to be worth investing in until later. P.S. The only one mad is you towards Microsoft but they won't miss you.
  • @15 I'm also pretty mad. I don't know how you can say that the PS4 is like a 4gb 360, that just does not make sense. X1 and PS4 both have 8gb of Ram, but PS4 uses DDR5 instead of DDR3, one up for PS4, X1 also reserves 3GB for the OS, so it'll only utilize 5GB in game, another +1 for PS4. Both have a 500 gb hard drive, but PS4 can use third party HDs to upgrade, another +1 for PS4. Xbox one has more launch exclusives, but they are not first party which means the odds are that they are only timed exclusives, you have to remember this is a marathon not a sprint, but I'll give X1 the point for it. On PS4 you have free reign over used games, while on X1 there is potential for an extra fee, +1 again for Sony. Only certain retailers will be allowed to sell preowned X1 games, and rentals are banned, +2 for sony. Daily check in on X1, no check ins at all on PS4, +1 Sony. The way the scores add up for me PS4: 7 Xbox one: 1 That's without the price, and the Kinect force feeding, the only reason I left that out is because the PS4 does not come with the eye included which is why the price is lower, but at the same time a lot of people don't want the camera stuff so, I called that a draw. If there is something I missed out be sure to tell me, i want to understand the reasoning behind why people are staying.
  • @16 then go get yourself a ps4 seriously why the fuck do people need to argue this shit just get the console YOU want. You people argue like your trying to convent someone from their religion to yours, their gaming consoles one system will have this game the other system will have that game, what's the big deal??
  • @17 I'm not arguing, I'm just explaining my point of view and asking for the other sides thoughts. That is what is called a discussion, I'm still in the process of deciding, to have decided 100% already would just be stupid.
  • The more I see of this game the more I am intrigued by it, definitely one to look out for. @16 When you say it like that it seems pretty bad for MS doesn't it? I would almost give Sony another point for doing better in the PR department as well. haha But I would say the main reason people would stick around is the exclusives and that they just don't care about all the other points or I guess it could be as simple as not liking Sony's controller designs or something like that. Personally, I moved onto PC a year or two ago, but still have both a PS3 and 360 for their exclusives or for general console exclusives; so for that purpose I'll probably get an Xbox first since the exclusives look more interesting on there atm. Knowing the potential of Sony first party developers though, it probably wont be long before I get a PS4 as well. Funny fact about the $100 price gab here in Australia as well, PS4 RRP is $549 and X1 RRP is $599; so basically even though MS is charging $50 more, Sony is being $50 more greedy. Definitely didn't see that coming from Sony's side.
  • Love how every news story has to turn int oa console war...how about commenting on the game in the story?
  • @16 Let me go through how I personally feel about the points you made. Ram: Meh. They'll both give you similar experiences, I don't care if PS4 games are a little shinier. Some people might argue the cloud will end up giving Microsoft the edge, but honestly, the cloud scares me. Hard-drive: unless I'm mistaken, your point here is wrong. You can hook up other hard drives through the Xbox One's usb ports. My phone's giving me trouble pasting a link, so you can do what I did - google it. Exclusives - I agree. Microsoft looks better right now, but I won't be surprised if Sony ends up surpassing them. Used game and rentals: I buy almost all of my games new. I almost never sell my games. I don't rent games. Honestly, for me personally, this is almost a positive. Hear me out - because Microsoft treats disc based games like downloaded games, you get all the bonuses associated with that - I can play my games on any console, I never have to switch out discs or worry about one getting scratched. So why don't I just download it? You know you're going to be able to find games cheaper by shopping around. And as for lending games, this does suck. I'm interested in how Microsoft defines family when they say you can share all your games with 10 family members. If that's not too restrictive (does it include my married sister?) that could be really cool - no more having my game sit on someone else's shelf for months while they slowly make their way through my game. Oh, and I do feel bad for smaller retailers. I hope Microsoft makes it easy for the little guys to get in on the action. Daily check-in: This one ticks me off. I'd be fine if Microsoft made you authenticate a game the first time you put it in, for the same reasons I listed above, but this is ridiculous. Are their servers really going to never go down? Or if I get a summer job somewhere, I can only play if I manage to get internet wherever I'm staying? This is crap.
  • @20 you are completely right. Instead of everyone discussing the game or what have you, someone always has to turn it into a console war. Plus from what I'm hearing, the X1 is outselling the PS4 at this point. Also what people are forgetting, there are 5 months until the release of the X1, so between now and then, MS can change things before the launch of the system.
  • @15 I'm not mad. But your butchering of the English language and straight out lies to make your argument superior makes me sad people like you exist. You'd do well as a politician had you went to school. Had you actually read my comments and citation, I think you would realize how out of touch you are. But it's not my job to educate people who can't even be bothered with the research before they refute a discussion with a load of rubbish. In the end, regardless of what the console is better, etc. It's a choice. So why be so sensitive? Gheez, people here need to get out more.
  • Ugh the console war is back in full force, I'm going to kill myself.
  • This definitely looks intriguing but I'm still frustrated to see that Microsoft is able to scoop up developers like this with all of their poor decisions regarding their business model and terrible XboxOne details. So basically, XboxOne is already showing pretty good games and we already know games like Fable IV and such are going to be around the corner eventually, but the console itself and their new policies are insane and making it incredibly hard to decide what to do..
  • @23 If you want to get technical you're not exactly a guru of the English language either my friend. But regardless of the points and counter arguments made I will still be purchasing the X1 over the PS4. This is for my own personal reasons and I feel no desire to regurgitate articles I've read online or things I've heard onto other people. Get the system you want to get. If you are leaning one way as opposed to the other is anything at this present moment actually going to give so much of a counter weight that it will sway your decision in the opposite direction? The answer is clearly 'no'. I have chosen to support Microsoft. Not because I'm a sheep. Not because I'm uninformed. Not because I don't use the proper percentage or ounces of my brain. You've chosen to support Sony and that's fine. But lobbing insults and rash ignorance at people to prove points makes you seem like nothing more than a child. So please do us all a massive favor, step off that high horse you've decided to rest yourself and Sony on and shut the fuck up.
  • The xbone has built in 4g in case your internet service is down. you do have to pay for the data if you go over a certain limit.
  • @26 I understand what you're saying completely. But I never treat straight out liars with respect. Fight fire with fire. They don't deserve humble responses, it only means more lies down the line. Regurgitate articles? I merely citing them so I have a something called credibility. This means I'm not talking out of my own arse like most of the people here defending the Xbox One. If you've ever written any academic piece of work you would understand how 'Regurgitating articles' is essential. Of course this is a online comment section, so I don't need to be so rigid. But citing a source is important if you claim something is what it is. I don't care what it is, I need PROOF. Some of you people may not, but that shows a lot about how you take in information..... Anyways, that's fine if you buy an Xbox One, it's your money not mine. But lol at you with the 'shut the fuck up' it's like you want to censor me because you're sensitive that I share a different opinion with you. Typical. Did I say I was a guru of the English language? No. Key word in your text. 'Regardless' This basically means you said, 'fuck every logical point I/ People/ MS and SONY made on positives and negatives of the two systems. I'm just going to put my hands over my ears and say 'lalalala I choose this.' For 'personal reasons' of course. That's fine. But then if you wanna get at me for it, well ur mum! What makes you think I care about being seen as a child on a internet site filled with a bunch of nobodies who only care about Gamerscore? [If you like collecting GS, and you have FUN doing so, that's fair, it's your life] But I'm having fun here watching you retards get shat on. This is my flaw, I know but this is toooooo FUNNY. I might as well be trolling but MS has done it for me. I'll stop now but you should have realised that I was only trying to inform you. I.E help you. Don't like it? Don't read it. LOOOOOOOOOL @ you guys!!! Hahahahahahahha.
