Aw...they should have done that...that would have been epically sweet. And you know it would have gotten some attention because you know that the xbox live team would have made some articles/small clips about it since it would fit in so well with a Halloween theme. |

Great move by Valve. Release so close to (if not on) the same day as Gears2 would definitely have hurt sales. Just hoping it's got more than zombies and 4P coop going for it. |

@27, thats what a series is, you dont make the first one a 3rd person tactical shooter and the second an RPG the third an RTS, you stick with what works. I agree it was broken online but they supposedly fixed that.

No, GoW is definitly not overrated. It has the most addicting multiplayer I've ever played, and I've played a lot of good multiplayer games. Imagine if they incorperated a ranking system like Cod4's or RSV2's into GoW2. The fun would never end!!! |

Really smart move... this game was so damn close to Gears 2 I had no choice but to just not even consider buying.. but still at where it is now I'll wait for Christmas to get it, since I'll still be hooked on Fable 2 by then, and Gears 2 wont help.. oh Jesus. |

Maybe they wanted 2 more weeks of refinement and polish.
I think despite the fact that they're both shooters, they have different demographics. Gears is designed for frat boys and 11 year olds and Left 4 dead is designed for everyone else. |

Anyway, this is the right move by Valve. Left 4 Dead will still be on the shelves for the day after Thanksgiving, yet it won't totally be in Gears of War 2's massive shadow.
For those that say Gears of War sucked, that's fine, but remember that it was the most played game on Live for quite a while. It's still played by a very large number of people, so while you may think it sucked, a lot of people don't. |

gear was one of the first online titles to come out... i think it's safe to say if halo had been out earlier there would have been far less sales. |

they cannot put it into a week before because dead space from EA is taking up that current month so it has to be later than GoW. I may get the game on the day it comes out, but i got so many games to pick up from the previous months. In case you haven't heard, i am trying to build the best 360 collection ever with most of the good games that come out for the system. Don't really have anything that is unplayable, but i get the ones that recieve horrible ratings but is still good to have. |
