Liverpool-based independent studio Lucid Games could be looking to announce something during Microsoft's next Xbox event on May 21st, if the developer's Facebook page is any indication.
Lucid Games was formed back in 2011 with ex-Bizarre Creations staff at the helm, comprised of former members cherry-picked from games like Blur, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and PGR 2-4. Rumours have also been circulating that the studio could be partnering up with Rare for a new PGR title.
This latest update from the UK studio indicates that it could be a next-gen project. "So yeah, Mid-May will be interesting for the studio. We have some exciting updates coming. Stay tuned!" reads the Facebook post. The dev also re-posted a teaser image hinting that Lucid's teaser title is a racer with a London circuit. It screams 'PGR 5' if you ask us.
Asked for comment by Joystiq, a Lucid Games spokesperson stated that he "can't say anything at the moment." Bah.
