Hot on the heels of our first hands-on preview (read it here), Ubisoft and Techland have slapped a price and date on Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, the wayward franchise's return to the wild west on the Xbox Live Arcade.

The mysterious 'man with no name' we refer to in our preview has also been named (which is a bit annoying) as Silas Greaves, a ruthless bounty hunter who's lived a life hunting down the old west's most notorious outlaws. And chickens.

Check out the new 'Code of the West' trailer for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, in which Silas blasts and blows everything to kingdom come, including innocent poultry. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will be putting bullet holes in XBLA on May 22nd for 1200 Microsoft Points.

  • Board Member 1 "Our last coJ game was a piece of crap that was traded in quicker than we could say online pass. How can we fix this?" Board Member 2 "We will release as an arcade title so gamers cant" Board Member 1 "Those suckers $$$$$, now lets get working on Assassins Creed 19"
  • arcade games are getting better and better :)
  • Looks like fun, but for 1200 points I'll give the demo a shot first.
  • this and far cry 3 BD look so good they could be full retail games.
  • One man's trash?
  • @4 i dont know about full retail, but they both look damn good and easily worth their 1200 msp price.
  • Yeah, it'd be nice if XLA would do more hard copy 'hits' collections.
  • #1 Well Techland developed for this downloadable Call of Juarez. Ubisoft is just published so both want release new Call of Juarez for sake of fans. :) I unsure if Gunslinger is turn out being well. It is look so fast paced unlike original CoJ 1 and 2. I loved both series. 3rd series is bad ass and rip off. I keep my eye for Gunslinger version of CoJ. Finger-cross it is not next CoJ come with ruined like 3rd series done. :)
  • Day one for me.
  • #8 Said not I what understand about talk. But this looks cool for an arcade game.
  • #8 the other COJ games had their fast moments, but sinds this Gunslinger is an arcade game and as the preview says its a fast paced shooter with the layout to earn XP for kills like headshots ect. They do that with a reason as the preview already mentioned: The game is easy to be picked up by anyone to be played. Thats the whole idea behind most arcade games, they should be fun and easy to get into and play. Def day one, but not without a trail first ;)Dust of your sixshooters gentlemen!
  • But!! Honest this trailer rocks!! Finaly a proper western game again :p
  • Anything is better then the previous game but I honestly don't think it'll be that good. Seems like a game that will get old quick.
  • Just change my mind and I will get this day one and part of my birthday money to get MS points for this game. :)
  • Looks like fun....too bad I dont buy arcade games.
  • Well done #10 for mocking the disabled. The guy is deaf and his 1st language isn't English. Good work sir, good work.
  • Let me tell a tale: Once upon a time I loved COJ, first 2 games were brilliant and played the second one 5 times, then time passed by. And one day the third one released, first I wasn't excited about it later I didn't even played, Now there can be two reasons: 1. The horrific reviews of Cartel (May be) 2.Red Dead Redemption was true West (most probably) Simply now I no longer am interested in this series, I guess I'll pass
