Ubisoft is bringing Pwnee Studios' indie platformer, Cloudberry Kingdoms to the Xbox Live Arcade later this year. Boasting endless randomly generated stages, Cloudberry Kingdom's difficulty levels cater to both casual and hardcore players, as hero Bob (voiced by Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo) is brought out of retirement to save the princess and defeat Kobbler and the power of the Orb.

You can play as 10 different hero types, from jetpack Bob to fat Bob, wheelie Bob and bouncy Bob, across three different modes, Escalation, Time Crisis and Hero Rush, with a range of customisation options available for making Bob your own (that mushroom hat looks familiar). You can also save and send your favourite levels to friends.

Cloudberry Kingdom also includes a 'bungee mode', as well as local co-op and multiplayer modes for up to 4 players. It'll be heading to XBLA in Q1 2013. We imagine that's pretty soon. Check out the trailer and screens below.

  • This looks incredible! Reminds me of Castle Crashers right away! xx
  • Looks good, the levels on the video look insane, will prob trial before I buy just to see how well it plays
  • Was gutted when they got rid of 4 player coop in battleblock theater, best thing about castle crashers, 4 of us guys in a room with beers and these games. May have to get :D
  • Ok, this game look HARD.
  • "Q1 2013"? Surely it shouldn't say that, as we're in the second quarter...
  • @6 It's coming out soon, though. From their site: "We're going through certification right now (which, in case you don't know, is 2 weeks of nail-biting purgatory where Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo scrutinize your game with a fine tooth comb and dissect it while still alive. Meanwhile Steam sits around and shoots the breeze with you, asking "why don't you just launch the game already?" AHH I'M SORRY WE CAN'T DO THAT STEAM. BECAUSE REASONS. GIVE US A MONTH)."
  • You must be the monopoly guy (4th picture)
  • This looks more frustrating than fun.
  • Looks like the offspring of Castle Crashers and Super Meat Boy
  • Doesn't look good at all to be honst
  • @9 Some people find frustrating things fun.
