Square Enix has filed a trademark for something called Lara Croft: Reflections.
The filing could relate to anything, from an iOS swipey tappy game to a full blown next-gen sequel, we just don’t know yet. What we do know, however, is that following the success of the recent reboot, we’re gonna be seeing a lot more of Lara in the months and years to come.
"Future games will be defined by who Lara has become as a result of who she is at the end of this experience," global brand director Karl Stewart told Reddit in a recent AMA.
"Now that Lara is more experienced, we are excited to take her on new adventures that challenge her new strength and confidence. It is important that even as Lara grows as a character, so do the challenges she must face,” added creative director Noah Hughes.
"In terms of where we go next, we cannot answer too directly, but now that Lara has survived the Island she can follow the clues that she found on the Island."
Ooh, mysterious. Check out our Tomb Raider review here, if you haven’t already. Recently Crystal Dynamics revealed that the game’s DLC would be multiplayer only. Boo.
