CD Projekt RED intends to support The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for at least two years following launch, according to a document released by the studio.

The document, published in the company’s native Polish, broadly outlines CD Projekt RED’s future plans, which include the release of “two smaller but top-quality games” to support The Witcher 3 and/or Cyberpunk 2077.

Here’s the full details. Something tells us this document wasn’t supposed to be found.

2013

  • Open REDkit beta and further support of the modding community
  • Premiere of the first non-computer game set in the Witcher world
  • Launch of a local branch of CD Projekt RED in the United States, focused on marketing and PR for both Americas, especially the US.

2014 - 2016

  • Launch of The Witcher 3 for at least three strong platforms including PC and PS4
  • Launch of Cyberpunk 2077
  • Two smaller (about 20 hours of gameplay) but top-quality games supporting one of the product lines
  • A cross-platform mobile game based on one of CDPR's brands
  • Start of license sales for REDengine
  • Long-term Witcher 3 support involving completely new mechanisms
  • Launch of the full version of the REDkit and further modding community support
  • Launch of further local CDPR branches in key territories

CD Projekt RED announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt last month. Get all the details here

Sounds great - as long as they pace it properly and don't over reach.

I wonder what this 'non-computer game set in the Witcher world' is.

This is insane news!!! I am so happy for them. I hope these vast expansion plans don't mean they end up having to work with a do-no-good publisher. I applaud their integrity to put two fingers up a publishers and that they remain independant. They seem to be the last of a dying breed - game developers who make games to be good and uncompromised... not the usual; "We must appeal to everyone" strategy that consistently leads to the game alienating it's core fanbase (Dead Space 3 for example).

Viva CD Project RED!

I think it's cool of them, but showing the public even a vague release schedule can leave you looking foolish.
Thinking of Max Payne 3's Rockstar Pass or half of Ubisoft's releases.
