@1 - I usually don't either. Every XBLA game that I've wanted have gotten a price slash at some point; I just write the games down that I want in a word doc. and just wait for them to go on sale. I don't put as much value in downloaded merchandise, because it has no re-sell value and is in reality worth nothing after you purchase it. Once you but it, you own it forever.

@3 No. Stupid is paying the full price for a game when we know that later it will appear with a 50% discount. If you notice, all the good XBLA usually appear at DotW discounts, at least once a year.
On two occasions I had pay the full price for a XBLA game, and some weeks later that game was part of a weekly discount.

holy shit, X360A has the most stupid community ever :O you dont want to pay full price for Xbla games? most of the xbla games is Indie games, they need the money. if you stop paying, they will stop making games for xbla, you should fuc.ing support indie devs! one example would be Retro City Rampage, it has the lowest sales on xbox. He will never make a xbox game again, he got all his money from PS3. I get so fuc.ing pissed off at stupid peoples like that, And that you all are agreeing!? I have to leave X360A dammit.

I rarely pay full price for arcade titles either, not because I'm cheap I just have so many games to play that if I buy it now by the time I actually get around to playing it, it will probably have been on sale anyway.

@#3 - How is it stupid? It will be on sale one day.
@#10 - First of all, the reason he got all his money from PS3? Because the game came out MONTHS AGO on PS3. It was out LAST YEAR. Most people who wanted it probably got it on PS3 or Steam instead of waiting for it on XBLA. Likewise, the Wii owners probably bought on PS3, Steam or XBLA first because it was out sooner on them.
And Retro City Rampage was $10 on XBLA, so I can almost guarantee that the only reason people didn't buy it was because they already had it, didn't want it, or simply had no reason to buy it at launch. Heck, the creator flat out said it wasn't cost effective to make the Wii version and only did it because he loves Nintendo and wanted everyone to play the game.
That said, 90% of the $15 games on XBLA are NOT worth $15. Indie or not, if their game is too short, or not full of content, it's not worth $15. And after people get burned too many times by spending $15 on 2 hour games that aren't even that amazing, they stop buying them at full price when they know they can wait and get them for $5 or $6.
We have no idea if Battleblock Theater will be worth $15, so you can't come firing off your anger over this.
Not to mention, Behemoth's pretty well off. They've made so much money off of Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid and merchandise. They're not really very indie anymore.
That said, I'm sure a lot of people don't get games at full price simply because they can't be spending $15 on every interesting game when they come out. They pick the ones they REALLY want and wait for sales on the others. Honestly, there are a ton of $15 games I want, but I can't afford all of them at the same time and I don't even have time to play them. Not going to spend $15 on a game NOW that I'm not going to play for MONTHS only to have it be half price by the time I get around to it. It's financially dumb.
As long as you're supporting the developer by buying it at all, I don't see what difference it makes how much you give them. Tons of people will buy it at full price and they'll make more money on DLC.

Yeah, but some games are so good they're worth their retail price, and more.
I think the biggest example is Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. That game has a high price tag, has never had a sale, and probably never will. Most people that have bought it have agreed it was worth the amount they paid, plus more. And that they love it and love the decision they made for paying full price. And then there are people that are waiting for a sale, waiting to save a few bucks, which is acceptable and maybe the smart thing to do for some, but they're the ones who are missing out on enjoying a game.
If you don't want to enjoy games, then why pay for them at all?

Some people have the luxury of having mommy buy their games. Other people have their priorities set on other things such as kids, wife, home, and utility bills.
That being said, I'm sure this game will be on DoTY around summer and I'll pick it up then. Already have a few games from the recent DoTY event to finish.
