Farm 51 and Nordic Games, the same partnership behind Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, have today announced that Deadfall Adventures, a first-person shooter inspired by summer blockbusters and the Saturday morning matinee (and probably Indiana Jones too, looking at it), will be coming to Xbox 360 in July.

Set in 1938, you assume the role of James Lee Quatermain, tasked with escorting US agent and former colleague Jennifer Goodwin to an Egyptian temple complex where an ancient artifact known as the 'Heart of Atlantis' resides. Said artifact apparently possesses invigorating properties, that Quatermain dismisses.

It'll be a race against time as the Ahnenerbe occult Nazi department and the Russians close in on The Heart, as Quatermain and Goodwin take a trip across the globe, from stormy Egyptian deserts, to icy Arctic caves and steaming Guatemalan jungles.

Awakening age-old guardians, you'll have a fight on your hands to retrieve The Heart, as well as puzzles to solve, traps to evade and set-pieces to tackle. Deadfall Adventures promises to be "an original adventure which will grip players from start to finish", according to Nordic Games MD, Klemens Kreuzer.

Check out the debut trailer and screenshots below. There's more images to take a look at in the gallery too. Deadfall Adventures is scheduled to launch on the Xbox 360 on July 30th.

Am I missing something here? Why is it "cool" to be the first person to comment on a article? is it because you see the #1 next to your name and you just get excited or.. what is it, I'm just not getting this at all.

please some elaborate for me. Cause it's pretty pointless I'd have to say.

If the quality of the graphics throughout the campaign are as good as these pictures and bugs are kept minimal. I'll pre-order this game. The setting reminds me of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I just want them to get Painkiller done for 360, then they can do whatever they want.

Speaking of I got a Tomb Raider trailer before the Deadfall Adventures trailer. This is coming out in July and the debut trailer just came out in February? Kinda like when Bethesda confirmed Elder Scrolls V and then stated "it will come out sooner than you think." Bam!... Six months later we had Skyrim. Except people actually give a shit about Elder Scrolls. Theres always a chance this will be a good game. I usually enjoy the under the radar lower budget games.

I'll wait to see how long the actual game is first. I liked Painkiller: H&D, but the campaign was way too short. This doesn't look bad though, if it's a decent length I might pick it up.

@ 20 actually the first one that came to my mind was general hospital. Sad yes, but I had an ex that watched that show all the time.
OT It looks decent so I'll watch this one. Hopefully it'll be better than GH

@20 and 21, Not to date myself, but have you guys ever seen the Alan Quartermain movies from the 80's. He was a poor man's Indiana Jones, but very fun movies. If this is related to those movies or character, that would be awesome. I'm a huge Uncharted fan and this looks like it can be a step above Uncharted.

Like the others, I'm a fan of under the radar games (sort of what Boderlands and Bioshock were like).

@22 Even after googling it I can't say that I've seen it, but who knows; by then I was already an Indy fan. Not to date myself, but I drove to the premiere of Raiders with the same girl that was hooked on GH lol.

This looks interesting, i'll definitely be tracking it during it's development. And yeah I agree with Nevander here, let's get Painkiller pushed out already, loved that game on PC.

@9 so you can be a toolbox and type FIRST!? Yeah I don't get it either.
