Everyone loves a good reboot, don't they? No? Well tough. They're here to stay, whether you like it or not. The latest game franchise to be put through the reboot grinder is Crystal Dynamic's new Tomb Raider, taking Lara Croft back to basics, with a down and dirty origin story that doesn't pull its punches.

You might be aware that Tomb Raider had an influence on the Uncharted games for PS3, but it looks as though the Tomb Raider reboot has been eyeing up Nathan Drake's shenanigans for this new outing. It's the circle of life, or something. But can Lara give Drake a run for his money, or should the smart and resourceful, gun-toting adventuring English aristocrat hang up her shooters and tight vest?
