Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is set to receive no less than three chunks of DLC soon, with Platinum Games detailing what the packs will contain over on its official website, with a translation from Me tal Gear Solid TV.

The first pack will contain 30 new VR missions, which are PS3-exclusive in North America for some reason. It'll also bundle a wooden 'Soul Snake' sword that utters gruff phrases as you wield it, although it can't actually cut anything. We're not sure if it'll prove particularly useful.

Among the first DLC's VR missions is a side-scrolling mission in which Raiden fights unarmed, and a mission wherein you assume control of a dwarf gekko and kick some ass.

DLC number two will have you playing as Raiden's nemesis Jetstream Sam, wielding his big red katana, and battling a Metal Gear RAY. Presumably, this will be some sort of campaign-based content.

Finally, the third add-on pack will enable you to play as LQ-81i, the 'blade wolf' robot that Raiden takes on early in the game's campaign.

There's little in the way of real details beyond what's been translated thus far, but the three DLC packs for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance can't be far away. The first DLC is scheduled to hit Japan in early April for ¥300 (the equivalent of £2/$3/240 MSP) before coming to Europe and other territories outside North America, with the second and third packs to follow.

	So it's possible that some of the content (the VR missions) could have additional achievements?

	I'd buy it just for the Soul Snake, but it's PS3 only. Damn.

	Costumes should never be paid DLC, they should either be free, or in the game already as unlockables.

	#2 well traditionally yes they would be cheat codes. #5 i agree 100%. There is a british musician that goes by the name of Jamie T and he has a song called "If you got the money" there are a few times during the song that he repeats the word money over and over again. I imagine that's what publishers and some devs do when they think of what to us as DLC.

	I wish someone would give an explanation for the bullshit single territory exclusivity of the VR missions. I love this game, I live in the US, I play on 360 and would buy all the DLC in a heartbeat. But with that exclusivity shit, I may just pass all of them up.

	@8 Sony paid for it. Platinum needs to make all the money it can. You'd have done the same thing in their position. MS does it far more often to Playstation fans than Sony does it to Xbox fans, so you don't really have any room for complaint. It's the way the industry works. If you don't like it, don't play video games.

	@10: Take your holier than thou attitude and shove it up your ass. Sony paid for it one territory? Bullshit. If they paid for it, they would have made it globally exclusive. Its not, its only in NA which makes no sense, even the article makes mention of it. And I find it really interesting that there has been absolutely no word on why it is exclusive in only one territory. Usually someone flat out says it was bought by such and such.

	Only one problem the DLC vr mission, the achievements for the vr mission SHOW UP on the xbox, so that means...they will possibly come to the xbox too?
