Its like a Steam sale, but from Microsoft. Something has gone very wrong. Microsoft dont discount like this normally!Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:29 AM
Main game 400msp 2 hour long DLC 800msp /okayTuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:33 AM
I get message that sale can't be processed at this time ;/Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:38 AM
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't $4.99 400msp's? I downloaded Tomb Raider and it was 440 points, went to download Elements of Might and Magic for $2.99 but its saying 480 msp's which equals roughly $6.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:46 AM
Because microsoft stiff you if you use their currency. Its what we in the UK call cunts lolTuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:48 AM
hmmmm..... Canada has it for $9.99.... it should be about $4.99...Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:49 AM
I bought DiRT 2 and El Shaddai with the intention of also buying GRID but I overpayed for the two games. I should have payed 400 for DiRT and 240 for Shaddai but I payed 440 and 480 which means now I have to go bitch to Xbox Support so I can get some MSP back so I can get GRID. CANT WAIT FOR GRID 2!!!Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:49 AM
#5 i did the same thing hahaTuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:51 AM
Does anyone know how long these games on demand deals are going to last. I know the Halo Deals are only for today, but I'm wondering are the other deals one day only or do they last the entire week of deals?Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:52 AM
Hey guys, I tried to buy GRID, but it says "This item isn't available from your current location." Xbox can detect where it is atm? :O My account is UK, but I don't live there, but everything worked for me since I created it :( Tried with different account, but everything is same. Now I am trying to do that with PC, but all i get is: "Sorry Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again." ; Or when I try with different account it says its not available because its teen or child (my account is adult, at least it says it on xbox and pc when i look at it). So anyone know how to make my purchase happen? Please help! Or am I hopeless and nothing can help with that crap? :)Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 07:53 AM
I went to get El Shaddai and when you change it to MSP, it goes to 480 msp, which is way more than $2.99 (240 msp). Is this some kind of ruse to get you to either pay more with Microsoft Points or use your Paypal/Credit Card? Downloading the demo for El Shaddai anyway. May just get it with my paypal since it's already on there.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:14 AM
Major Nelson announced this on his blog, these games are on sale for the duration of the ultimate games sale in addition to the daily deals. http://majornelson.com/2013/02/26/additional-xbox-live-ultimate-game-sale-items-on-sale/Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:16 AM
Is El Shaddai: Ascension not on the UK market place?Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:16 AM
Guys, Games on Demand titles have tax, that is why you are seeing a charge of 460 MSP for a game that is $4.99 (400MSP). I paid with my card and was notified it was $4.99 + tax.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:17 AM
@24 - I think for some annoying reason they are charging more for MSP-paid games than they are for Credit-Card paid games. Annoying yes, but I suspect it's more for those who have points hanging around, and can spend them on these.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:22 AM
@26 not by the looks of it, just a trial showing for me, shame.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:24 AM
Yeah its true....more for paying with MSP Just bought Rayman on XBL website instead Paid £2.69 off paypal Do it that wayTuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:25 AM
Taken from the purchase description: "Price: $4.99 plus tax". Obviously when you choose the MSP option they will then charge you tax in the form of extra MSP, you can't just avoid the tax charge by choosing MSP.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:27 AM
Cool just bought it.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:41 AM
To everyone trying to say it's the tax, it's not. $2.99 + tax in NJ would be ~$3.20. $6 is not the same thing as $3.20, so no. That's not what it is.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:48 AM
$2.99 = 240 msp $2.99+tax where I live comes to ~$3.20 = 256 msp $4.99 = 400 msp $4.99+tax where I live comes to ~$5.35 = 428 msp So 480 and 440 are not right for either. Not to mention the fact that the $3 games come up for more Microsoft Points than the $5 games. And some states don't HAVE tax, so if I am not mistaken, the +tax isn't even applicable in those places.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 09:06 AM
Only give a mention to GRID because they are working with Codemasters on an achievements/trophy list for GRID 2. There are plenty of other titles which are discounted today, which you did not mention.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 09:12 AM
Nice deals, but why am i sceptical there is some ulterior motive? Like these won't be backwards compatible on the new console. I'll be grabbing a few regardless, but only a fool thinks they are doing this out of the kindness of their heart. ;)Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 09:14 AM
@35 - apart from listing them in full already you mean?!Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 09:21 AM
For those wondering, people on Twitter and Major Nelson's blog have bothered him and he said he escalated the issue to those responsible, letting them know that the prices are wrong.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 10:08 AM
At last MS have taken a page out of steam's book. About bloody timeTuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 10:24 AM
Microsoft suck at advertising good Deals. There's nothing on the Xbox Dash about thisTuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 11:09 AM
@40 Yes, there is.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 11:45 AM
Are these games on sale for only today or are they adding more games to the list each day?Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 12:42 PM
@34 In British pounds it is correct.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 01:04 PM
@13 It's called milking every last penny out of every person they can before they release the new system. Most of these sales are on old garbage games and are a rip off. Haven't they made enough money on Bio-Shock and all these other 5+ year old games?Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 02:14 PM
@44 not if people are still buying them obviously. Don't know how you can say it's a rip-off when so many are so cheap - some people won't be happy until "sale" means free.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 06:28 PM
@13 these are like Steam sales, never seen games this cheap on XBL Grid was a fun arcade racer but had a few flaws like Rubber Ban AI and few steering wheel issues where you would have to really mess around in the setting to make it playable.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:43 PM
Is the glitched achievement 100% unobtainable from games on demand because I don't know if patch can be rolled back?Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:50 PM
Grid 2 and Rayman have unobtainables, keep that in mind when you make your purchases.Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 08:52 PM
Sorry I meant Dirt 2 not Grid 2. ^

Fancy a proper bargain? How does Codemasters' first GRID grab you, at just a mere £2.69 ($4.99 in North America)?
You can download it right now via Xbox.com at the bargain price, but be sure to get it while you can.
Today is Halo day in the Ultimate Xbox Live Game Sale, but this is a genuine bargain. Is this the shape of deals to come later in the sale?
Download Race Driver: GRID now and get up to speed before GRID 2 launches this May.
