Meh. I know a GOTY edition is inevitable. With 4 campaign DLCs, 2 characters, weapon/costume skins and all this jazz I may as well just wait for that instead.
@#9 - How so? The season pass doesn't include the Mechromancer either. They said from the beginning that it was just for Campaign DLC, not characters and stuff.

| Called this weeks ago. They said they were going to release four packs of DLC on the season pass but hinted at extras later on. Then they outsourced most of the season pass DLC. With no level cap in sight for the four season pass DLCs i threw a random suggestion to my mate that they were waiting for the season pass to run it's course before they release a level cap increase with a General Knoxx grade DLC so that everyone would have to pay for it even if they didn't get any other DLC. We laughed but as time has gone on it's been more and more likely...I however am not complaining because once it's all out in the open then i will make my decisions as to what to buy. Right now i'm just stating my opinion! |

I bought the season pass as Xmas when it was on the cheap, but after Gearbox's recent antics they have left me with a serious 'Hmm' towards them.
I'll play the DLC I've bought but I won't be buying the Level Cap, especially considering weeks ago they said they couldn't make a level cap increase as it would break the game.

| There's really nothing Gearbox can do to redeem themselves in my eyes. Having bought the season pass, which I now see was a huge mistake, I'm going to finish getting the achievements on the last mediocre DLC. Once finished, I'm going to take a picture of myself burning the disc and mail it to Texas along with the burnt disc. |

| I really don't get why they've been so hesitant or whatever to add a level cap. You're going to be 50 by the time you're done with TVHM, and that doesn't count most of the sidequests and DLC experience. We've needed a level cap for awhile and they just haven't given us one. All that glorious exp gone to waste. (I'd totally be happy if experience turned into cash after you hit the level cap, though.) |

| @18, that exp to cash thing is actually a great idea, I grinded out the moxxi pictures of the carnage DLC last night and was pissed that so much exp was wasted. I also don't get why the level cap upgrade would ruin the game, it didn't ruin the first game? I hope the next DLC character is good, I don't like any of the new guys as much as the ones from the first game! |

We didn't pay for crappy DLC to be outsourced. Plus, it's more than just the mediocre DLC. Players, myself included, are still getting get hit by the Badass Rank glitch, players are losing entire save files to the graveyard glitch. Gearbox's handling of these issues is pretty much non-existent. So the hate of Gearbox is not just about the DLC, it's a hatred for the company as a whole. |

@Anyone who mentioned the level cap beaking the game:
Pitchman himself has come right out and said that if they increase the level cap, some character configurations will "blow memory. Your XBOX will crash."
Which is completely ludicrous because modders have already broken the cap and no one's complaining of XBOX crashes.
So I think this is just what it looks like: a stalling tactic. Someone above mentioned and I've been of the opinion for awhile that Gearbox would charge us for the level cap increase. And it looks like they're acting as if the increase can't be implemented, but they'll "miraculously" figure it our AFTER all the DLC connected to the pass is out.
They know it's the one thing we want and that some of us would willingly pay for it. It's a new revenue stream for a game they've run into the ground.
And, let's face it, no one's getting rich off Aliens: Colonial Marines... |

| A level cap increase and more DLC after the season pass was announced well over a month ago by Pitchford himself. After this new train wreck with Aliens, now everybody realizes what they were doing from the start with B2. They outsourced the entire Season Pass and will be releasing their own(maybe) DLC so they can cash in alone. I will be doing DLC #4 and thats it. To Gamestop with this game. After the Aliens stories and the way they are handling everythig with B2, I will never again buy a Gearbox game... B3 included! |

| As far as I'm concerned Gearbox has put out a good game, a fun game, and one that I enjoy. I could care less about a level cap increase because all it will really provide is a few more achievements to unlock. People can bitch all they want about DLC and Season passes, but remember nobody puts a gun to your head and forces you to buy them. I don't buy season passes cause most of them are just for MP content and I prefer single player. I did purchase the BL2 Season pass but only during the Christmas sale. We all know that games like BL2 will at sometime get a GOTY edition with all the goodies added for a discounted price. So you have to make up your own mind and decide if paying a bit extra to play it now is worth the cost. Games are meant to be played for fun and not to be taken so serious. |

As much as I hate seeing fellow gamers getting screwed over with season passes, I think that's what it's going to take to wake people up. What other product do you buy with so little concrete information? Three pieces of future DLC tells me fucking nothing about what I'm putting my money down on.
Send a message with your wallet. Buy the game if you really want it, but wait on the season passes. In most cases within a year they're on sale for cheaper than the preorder deals. Any good game with DLC support eventually gets a GOTY type edition with everything included.
You keep buying it blindly, they'll keep taking advantage of you, and you'll have no one but yourself to blame. |

| Pretty disappointed with the Season Pass. If the level cap is added as a free update for all would be awesome. It just sucked sitting at Level 50 before any of the DLC came out, then simply not wanting to play the extra content due to there being no gain. |

| I've been reading comments like these for the past few months now and I have just signed up for an account today just so I could say that most of the people on here are a bunch of hypocrites and bandwagon jumpers...everyone was saying that Gearbox was one of the best if not the best developer out there last year...now all of a sudden they're a bunch of scumbags because of the "failure" that was A:CM (Which by the way I really enjoyed and would have no problem playing over and over again)...and that they're theives due to DLC...Firstly...no one is forcing you to get the DLC...and secondly...i don't hear any complaints when your idols at Activision, Bungie & 343 Industries release DLC for COD & Halo...and it's the same deal with Capcom...you bitch about them having DLC on disc yet people (including you complainers) are still buying it...well I for one will still be paying for and supporting games from Gearbox and will still happily purchase their DLC... |

@ 43 (viking) you're right we might not have to pay for it. lets not act like 12 year olds though, more dlc from them will likely not be free. they have no history of free dlc, nor do they have a reason to give any away. I doubt that it'll be giving in an update, though it should.
they gave us a full game on disc and it was worth 2 playthroughs. anybody who did that (i had 12 days in game before any dlc)would be over 50 before the season pass even came out. arguably the way the game was intented to be played. we shouldve gotten the level cap long ago. thats why we are all pissed off. that and the copy paste dlc's and their bosses.
I read an interview with Pitchford where he stated that only 15% of all BL2 players had reached the level cap and thats why they havent raised it. as i stated above we shouldve gotten a level cap long ago regardless of those other players. for us its just all xp we cant ever get back.
if there was a memory of what i did after 50 and that xp was aculmative thenid be far happier about it.
we are the only ones playing the game to the fullest ad intended do not placate the sheep. ive they havnet hit 50 they are not worried about 60 or 61.
i will not be buying Bioshock Infinite because of the announcement of the season pass.
i also did not purchase Deadspace 3 because of it's implentation of microtransactions. |

| I only paid $22.50 for the season pass and I am somewhat disappointed with the DLC offering thus far. I thought the second dlc "Mr. Torgue's Campaing of Carnage was great however the first (Captain Scarlett & her Pirate's Booty) and the last dlc (Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt) were short and weak. I'm really hoping they have save the best for the last dlc. At least I got the main game for just $25 on Black Friday. |

They aren't thieves for simply releasing DLC. They are "thieves" for outsourcing the DLC for a quick cash-in. Based on the quality of the General Knoxx and Claptrap DLC from Borderlands 1, there should be no excuse for how poor the DLC offering has been so far. Now they're talking about releasing more DLC outside of the season pass (hopefully these future DLCs aren't outsourced) for another cash-in. Based on how Gearbox has handled the situation of A:CM and Borderlands 2 DLC, I wouldn't be surprised if the level cap is tied to the additional paid DLC.
Also, the DLC is most likely going to be premium rather than free. Microsoft doesn't normally allow free DLC. Hell, Valve wanted the Left 4 Dead DLC to be free but Microsoft wouldn't allow it. When you factor in the cost of having the DLC and patches approved and hosted, I highly doubt the DLC is free unless it could be tied to some kind of promotion like the Mechromancer.
About the hypocrite comment, this is a wide ranging community. People have differing opinions (including people that thought Borderlands was total ass since the first one) and judging the whole community because you can read both sides of the story at once is silly. The reason Gearbox is being called a shitty company now is because the massive cock-up that was Aliens: Colonial Marines (not just the quality of the game being sub par, but for the shady business practices put into place, such as embezzling money for Borderlands 1 and 2), and because Randy Pitchford is a goddamn liar. He first told us the level cap was coming in March, then turned around and said that it was impossible to do, even going as far to lie and say that the Xbox hardware couldn't handle it (which is proven false by all the hackers that have done just that), and now is apparently confirming that it is on the way? Which is it? |

I really do like Gearbox Software, but to be honest, they really have fucked up. You put out a great game after just putting out game expansions and you get your company's name out there. That's all well and good, but that doesn't mean you should try and tackle 3 games at once, ESPECIALLY one that was in developer's hell for almost a decade and is catered to a style of gaming that has long since fizzled out...
I believe A:CM could have really been great had Gearbox fully worked on it. They can recover from all this though, as long as they don't make people pay for the Level Cap increase and don't outsource the rest of the DLC. I really don't see that happening since that would be the finisher for them. |

| Unfortunately, I purchased the season pass when the game was released. I reached level 50 after 1 and 1/2 playthroughs. Without the "level cap " upgrade (reward for effort), the released dlc's have been somewhat disappointing. Oh, I download and play the last "season pass" dlc, but I probably will not pay for another dlc sans level cap upgrade. |
