hoping it will be as good as shadow brokerThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:15 AM
2 downloads? Damn that's big!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:16 AM
Awesome! I'm so pumped for thisThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:16 AM
Please don't fuck this one up BioWare. Send this game off with a little dignity.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:17 AM
@4 I second that!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:17 AM
The fact it is split into two different downloads has me excited. Sounds like this is going to be huge!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:22 AM
Well, this means "screw backlog, more Mass Effect!" for me. I'm content with saying that.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:27 AM
There's a 2GB limit now? I downloaded the Scorchers DLC for Rage yesterday and that was over 2GB. Nonetheless, I'm excited for this DLC. Definitely sounds like the bang this trilogy needs to conclude on.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:30 AM
Omega was supposed to be huge, it wasn't. The multiple downloads sounds like a disater waiting to happen too. But I'm a slave to this game's universe, so where do I sign?Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:30 AM
Epic! I've read somewhere that this was the reason GTA 5 got pushed to SeptemberThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:31 AM
Not to be too much of a downer, but remember Omega's size was just under 2GB as well, and that didn't really contain much content. Hopefully, it's a different case this time.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:34 AM
Too bad this is the "final" DLC. Many fans were hoping they'd expand on the secret "destroy" ending where Shepard draws breath. Such a shitty cliffhanger of a way to bid farewell to such a beloved character. @8 I don't think it was so much the 2gb that caused the split. This DLC is nearly 4gb in size. It being that big is what prompted the split.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:35 AM
@11 true. But again. Like I just said. The Citadel DLC is nearly 4 GIGS.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:35 AM
Hopefully this means a complete edition isn't too far away.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:35 AM
Oh yea, ill buy any me sp, even if its not that good, i just cant say no to one of the best games ive ever playedThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:40 AM
I'm excited for this but... Where does this fit in the main story? IThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:42 AM
How does it work with 2 downloads ? Is it 600msp a half or 1200 for the first and the 2nd is free? Microsoft feck with the gamerscore cap all the time why can't they just let them release it as a whole, off topic but I read they wouldn't release strangers wrath because it was 2.1gigs which is just stupid!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:45 AM
LOVE IT.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:47 AM
Wrex: "Shepard" Shepard: "Wrex"Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:57 AM
Just because its over the 2gb limit doesn't mean its 4 jiggabytes in size. It could be 2.5gb, 2.8gb, 3.5gb, etc, etc. . . Oh the conclusions people jump to. . . And like some else already mentioned, Omega was 2gb and there was really not a lot to do there. I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything too spectacular.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:00 PM
I tweeted Mike Gamble, and he said that the first part will cost the 1200 MSP and the second will be free but required to play the DLC at all.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:02 PM
Not sure if really big or just sloppy coding.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:03 PM
@GambleMike: @MrChr15topher both are required to play. one will be a free download, and the other will be $15.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:09 PM
So does this dlc take place only on the citadel? I feel like we have already spent so much time on the citadel with all three games that to have the last dlc in shepards story take place on just the citadel is a bit dissapointing!Bioware created such an amazing universe and I just want to see more of it and not just a bunch of urban enviroments all the time. Dont get me wrong though I'm super excited about this and will be getting it when it comes out! I was just hoping for some locations on other planets too. Hope there is!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:10 PM
so can i finally bring the characters with me of my choice and get different dialogues? all these dlc's did was force me to use characters i didn't want toThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:17 PM
This sounds cool, I love the Citadel as a location. Hoping the drama is up to the standard of Shadow Broker too!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:21 PM
Female Turian in multiplayer! Woohoo!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:30 PM
if this one fuc#up its not because of Bioware's intention but it's because EA indoctrination goes to damn deep.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:36 PM
@12 That ending only appkies to those whi choose to destroy reapers. You cant really expand on one choice and not the othersThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:41 PM
Looks cool. Still going to wait to buy at 1/2 price though. Not in any hurry.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 12:59 PM
Oh good, the last DLC is coming out soon. With Bioware games I've tended to wait till all the DLC was out before starting the games. I've only played the multiplayer so far, and I've been itching to play through the single player.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:07 PM
@20 - Try looking it up, dumbass. A Bioware dev tweeted that one of the downloads is the full 2 gigs. The second download is just shy of 2 gigs. That's just under 4 GIGABYTES. Idiot. @29 - Why not? There have plenty of games that give you multiple endings, but chose onlt one of the endings as canon to base the sequel off of. How is this any different?Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:08 PM
Look forward to it. Loved ME 3's singleplayer story DLCs. Will buy it day one. It is most important DLC i will get and rest of other DLCs for games will have wait sometime this year. Love you BioWare. Hate you EA!!!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:10 PM
So the final swan song for ME3 is to decorate an apartment!? Forgive for saying but that sounds like utter pointless garbage. Leviathan was pretty good, not sure what I expected from it tbh. I and many others thought Omega would be a great DLC...it wasn't. So my expectations are low for this final piece, maybe just maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not holding my breath.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:17 PM
Well as many pointed already, Omega wasn't THAT big with a nearly 2Go DLC. So I'm just hoping for a decent "ending" for the trilogy, doesn't care if it's a 3 or 4Go DLC this time... And please, 200G on it so we can finally have a ME game with an even GS amount. Then I'll be able to delete all DLCs and both disks from my hard drive to make room for Tomb Raider and Bio Infinite. Thank you Bioware, I had a tremendous time playing the trilogy and I'm ready for the sequel/reboot/spinoff anytime you want ;-)Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:24 PM
Jesus Christ. Michael Gamble @GambleMike "Fun Fact. The Citadel for xbox is split over TWO DLC packages. It's nearly 4 gigs in total." via Twitter.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:26 PM
Apparently, 1 you pay, 1 for free with the other one required to work : http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/66605_452398671499752_164157417_n.jpgThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:50 PM
I haven't played the DLC yet, because I only played ME3 with 1 save and I can't access the DLC without starting over a completely new game :(Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:51 PM
Why is everyone so impressed with the size of the files? Skyrim was 3.8GB, and don't say it's because there's alot of dialogue, because there was in Skyrim too. It's just lazy programming, same as Battlemess 3.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 01:59 PM
@39 excellent point, skyrim is immense in its content, world size and many, MANY spells, weapons, armor and accessories :) this could and hoping to god it is, will be brilliant.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 02:00 PM
"To get around the problem you’ll have to download the DLC in two parts." http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lumssw5oGb1qbnggp.jpg Learn to code and compress better.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 02:08 PM
There goes the hype again, picking up on the fact that it's a 'big file'. Bigger doesn't normally mean better with these sort of things. Would have thought that would be an obvious with the last time they hung from that hook and hyping previous ME3 SP DLC. Whatever. Waiting for it all to go on sale. 50% off please and thank you.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 02:17 PM
Jesus fucking christ. Since when did I say it'll be amazing because it's almost 4 gigs. I'm pointing out the fact that it's 4 gigs because people are stupid and don't know how to read. Given Bioware's shitty track record with DLC, I expect this to be ho-hum at best. I'd like to be wrong. But they have yet to put out anything for ME3 that has been anything better than average and overpriced. We'll see. Either way, I'm not at all hppy about the $15 price point. Nor was I when Omega released.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 02:36 PM
Thanks for the new FREE maps EA. Activision...take note.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 03:04 PM
@44 Well remember, it was all because they didn't know how this would go over, so they promised everything would be free for MP. Now that they know...well get ready to pay for the next game lolThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 03:05 PM
Something tells me that this is going to have to be a mission that you play VERY early in the story if you want the maximum effect, given the number of plot-required deaths...Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 03:06 PM
Who's the white guy wearing Shepard's armour?Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 03:57 PM
That's just plain amazing. Can't wait for either!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 03:59 PM
Interesting everyone is saying this is 4 gigs. Just because we know it is over 2 Gig and is in 2 sections doesn't mean it is 4 gigs for sure. It could be 1.1 Gig in each for all we know. All the information we have says it larger than 2 gig and so comes in 2 downloads. Anyway, excited for this, I adore Mass Effect 3.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 04:13 PM
Naruto demo is 2.05 gb lol wutThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 04:58 PM
really a 2gb limit on each piece of dlc since when ?Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 05:04 PM
but what about that leaked dlc list? the war assest dlc .. and.. and.. sigh.. i guess thats the same thing that happend with me2... anyway i love mass effect 3... i wish they still brought out more content for it thoughThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 05:26 PM
@41 Like you have any clue whatsoever.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 05:51 PM
@38 You can do the dlc with the save you completed the game with.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 05:59 PM
I hope they add a decent amount of achievements. For some reason, ME has always been stingy with them for DLC.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 06:15 PM
Good to see a new multiplayer update is coming; I really need to get back into the multiplayer. Now I just need to get ME3 back from my friend who is borrowing it...Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 06:16 PM
@49 read #36 Bigger doesn't necessarily mean better but since it's the last DLC for SP, I have hopes that it'll be the best DLC from the entire trilogy.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 06:55 PM
Did they ever fix the achievement progress wiping issue? I know it shouldn't, but starting from scratch on the Veteran achievement has put me off going back to this game for a long time.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 07:13 PM
EPIC, Wrex is finally a fucking a squadmate!!!Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 08:08 PM
@54 Last time I tried I wasn't allowed to go anywhere because the reapers have taken over everything. The only thing left after beating the game is replaying the final mission. This isn't like the end of ME2 where you could go back and do things. So for me I have to start over from scratchThursday, February 21, 2013 @ 09:37 PM
So it stands that Mass Effect 2 shall forever have the best DLC support in the franchise. Each DLC for that game was stellar, up to the final one, and Mass Effect 3 has not followed suit.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 10:14 PM
Only points out how stupid the arbitary 2GB from Microsoft actually is. I hope for those who are anticipating this that is lives up to your expectations, but I checked out on the series after 3 myself.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 10:55 PM
Finally I can now go back and play through the game with the full story. Then looking forward to the next Mass Effect away from Shepard who I myself think should of been dead and gone after the first game.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:02 PM
@61, I enjoyed Bring down the sky in 1. I also liked that game better than 2 and 3 by a mile.Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:40 PM
Might give me a excuse to go back to ME3 finally. To finish up getting Omega and Citadel done. Probably can't get it though till April since I'm getting Tomb Raider.Friday, February 22, 2013 @ 03:02 AM
The only thing that will keep me from playing Tomb Raider that day.Friday, February 22, 2013 @ 07:16 AM
Pretty awesome. Cant wait for this Only problem for me is meeting up with past characters "When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favourite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy" Favourite by far was Mordin but hes dead in my current playthrough....and so is Legion Another playthrough here we comeFriday, February 22, 2013 @ 07:55 AM
This is clearly playing on the nostagia factor of gamers, not that thats a bad thing. Im pretty sad that this is the last dlc however good it is because that disproves the suposidely leaked dlc list. Pity they looked cool. owell, bring on ME4!Friday, February 22, 2013 @ 09:08 AM
Who the fuck is still supporting this garbage?Saturday, February 23, 2013 @ 04:59 PM
Agree with #1. All the dlc's been downhill since shadow broker in quality and scope. I'd like to see a return to that epic action packed and an awesome captivating storyline on par with the Broker dlc. That switches up the pacing, and has sky car chases and titanic epic fistfights!Sunday, February 24, 2013 @ 10:18 AM
Hope it's goodMonday, February 25, 2013 @ 02:11 AM
sounds like i'll be able to have wrex and / or grunt in my squad (at long fucking last)but until it comes out and i know for sure i'm not going to let myself get exited about it.Monday, February 25, 2013 @ 05:42 PM
Really looking forward to this dlc. a fitting end to the awesome trilogy that will forever stand in time. now i can finish my trilogy completion Ps. i liked the ending before and after the ecWednesday, February 27, 2013 @ 10:14 AM
@61 I wouldn't say 'Each'. But thankfully, all the poor DLC's were available for free with the (better system) online pass. The only exception is Arrival, and opinion on that is somewhat divided anyway.Friday, March 01, 2013 @ 02:16 AM
they're adding 9 achievements for this - priority target, high society, team player, last resort, perfect host, king of the castle, technical issues, simulated hero and the one and only. just go to compare games with someone on your friends list who has this and it'll show up.

BioWare has lifted the lid on Citadel, Mass Effect 3‘s final slice of single-player downloadable content.
Costing 1200 MSP and launching on March 5th, Citadel is so big it surpasses Microsoft’s 2GB limit on digital content. To get around the problem you’ll have to download the DLC in two parts.
On the BioWare forums, community manager Chris Priestly offered a synopsis for the content, writing:
“When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
“When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favourite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel.
“With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.”
In addition to this, the free multiplayer expansion Reckoning launches on February 26th, bringing new weapons, maps and equipment.
