Capcom has released a new Japanese trailer for the upcoming release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, the massive retail-only expansion that adds new monsters to slay and a brand new area called Bitterblack Isle, filled with fresh quests to take on.

In this latest video there's more beast-battling action, as your hero - which can be ported over from your original Dragon's Dogma save - and his/her pawns take on the likes of the Elder Ogre and a menagerie of other fearsome creatures, including dragons and oversized wolf-like rodent monsters.

Check out the latest trailer for a glimpse at some of the new beasts you'll have to cut down in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen when it launches on April 23rd in North America and April 26th in Europe.

Still a bit sour about the whole retail only thing since I bought Dragon's Dogma when rumors of this were floating around and I assumed it would be downloadable.

Oh well, still looks good.

Loved the game wishing I had the time to play more since I still haven't finished the main story arc. Heres a question though since its gonna be a physical game and its supposed to come with the original will all the copious amounts of DLC 'ala' side missions armors etc be on the disc or will that stay exclusively micro transaction based.

This game was not for me but I'm glad Capcom is supporting a title with single player content.

@3 I wonder this myself. The weapons and armor are mostly junk, but the side quests added a fair ammount of time to the game when you added it all up. I hope the quests at least are included, in addition to the new ones they're talking about now.

I am not 100% sure but I believe this will include the original game but not the additional dlc

Liking the look of the new stuff, looking forward to bring "Fatima the fatty" (my character :P) back for another run in dragons dogma
