| Doesn't look like that good quality of an action figure. Given that in the past most special editions come with a McFarlan toy, this looks more like something from a Happy Meal. It could just be a bad picture though, and I hope so because if it is quality, I'm gonna get it. |

Saw this on the Gamestop site a couple of weeks ago. The figure is a standard NECA game figure like the GOW3, Dead Space and Borderlands ones. It is available on the Forbidden Planet website in the UK for £15.99 without postage.
I'll be getting the steelbook from Game and possibly pick up the figure some other time. £70 is a bit much for this I think |

Damn, that's really overpriced for what you get.
No mention of it being the steelbook, a really cheap looking Baird, some tags that look a lot like the ones that came with the Gears 2 splatter-head Locust figure and a couple of digital things which are a separate point.
Why the fuck is a main weapon being released as DLC? It's like a parody of the way DLC was going and then they've actually done it.
As for the skin and the digital copy of Gears 1, meh - At time of posting you can pick up a physical, non-DRM bullshit copy from Amazon for £3 inc P&P and the skin, I hate that, same as Gears 3, fine, release one as a preorder exclusive across every retailer but I hate feeling like I'm missing part of my game just because I didn't preorder at like 6 different places.
Disappointing after how nice the Gears 3 Epic Edition was. |

In germany you can preorder this edition for 2 months FOR 85€! but its just called "special edition" here and you dont get the code for GoW1...

@11 If you actually looked at those links you posted, the figure on the EB Games.ca site are 3 3/4" and the US one and the figure in this collector's edition are 7", hence the difference in price.
The NECA figurines, at least the 7" ones, are actually good figurines with decent articulation, the 3 3/4" line for Gears was just introduced at Toy Fair '13, so I haven't had a chance to see any of them, but they look pretty cheap so I'm no that interested in them. |

| Seriously concerned for the Gears franchise now. As well as having a Gears tattoo, I already have the COG tags that came with the Locust Drone action figure 4 years ago, the action figure looks rubbish compared to the already available action figures in stores, and giving a digital copy of Gears 1 away in the box... really? Who hasn't bought that game already?! |
