| Sounds like the world will have player interactivity similar to Dark Souls or maybe even Fable's orbs system. Really stoked for this game I have huge trust in Bungie. |

| Games usually release on Tuesdays, so that Sunday October 6, 2013 release date is probably fake. |

nice to see marty hard at work, destiny will have the best soundtrack of whatever year it releases in :D the October release gate will just be a placeholder, though i'm sure i read somewhere that they'll be releasing a game every other year from 2014, with an expansion every other year from 2015 |

| PLEASE have RPG elements. Seriously, something this massive needs leveling and customization! Looks awesome. Never been a halo fan, but I'm really looking forward to this. I do have some small worries that it will end up too similar to halo, but from seeing the video it sounds like they really tried to make sure that didn't happen. |

| I wonder what well known sci-fi novel Bungie is ripping off this time. With the way Bungie handled the their last two Halo games I have no faith in them whatsoever. Because of how they made Reach we ended up with Call of Duty: Halo 4. Good luck getting that 95 metacritic score you're contractually obligated to get Bungie, it would be oh such a shame if Activision dropped you or sued you. Love to see all the fanboys crawl out the woodwork to suck their dicks though. Pretty funny. |

Looks interesting hopefully will be much more story involved. Halo was good and fun but never got pulled in, this games looks like it could have great potential for a deep story and world. Good luck |

| @11 I think Skyrim came out on November 11 to make an interesting promo: 11.11.11, so they probably got special permission. 10.06.12 isn't that interesting. |

@6 What shit are you talking, there is literally no evidence to suggest that games usually come out on 'tuesdays' as you say. Seriously, lets take october 2012 for example. according to this ( http://uk.ign.com/wikis/ign-review-calendar/Game_Release_Dates_2012 ) 23 games (providing I can count) were released that month, guess how many were on a tuesday? Zero. So please, shut the fuck up. Rant over. |

| @25 In #6's defense, I can not think of a midnight release that I attended for a game that WASN'T on a Tuesday here in the U.S. About your article... almost every single one of those games was released on a Tuesday. Are you sure you weren't referring to the date that the review for the game was released? |

@28 hit the nail on the head. Games in the US usually come out on a Tuesday in order to maximise the release window for the sales charts of that week. In Europe (note that it said it was a FRENCH retailer) they are usually released on a Friday because, well, it just makes more sense at the weekend. It's nice to get a new game and have the whole weekend to enjoy it properly. |

This game does look really incredible, I cannot wait to get my hands on it. It looks like a mix between Missions you would see on Mass Effect 2/3 by going to different planets and exploring them. and also it obviously has the look of Halo/Bungie style textures and the realism of a real living universe. This COULD POSSIBLY make or break Bungie as a company. unless they have other games up their sleeves and they just are not announcing them. but if they are putting all their chips on this one title, I say that's a pretty big gamble for the gaming market now adays. But since it will probably be one of the first if not the first games for the New XBOX then it will have no issue selling. |

Alright, I wasn't sure about this thing for a long time. The high-minded speech about it being this new colossus of gaming, of them trying so hard to "transcend" Halo (which I honestly never thought was the greatest series to begin with, but whatever), all that other nonsense... None of it made me really excited about anything with Destiny. This. This has caught me. Now I'm interested. Now I'll be watching this with a close eye, Bungie. Good luck, and godspeed. |

Who would down vote #6? He's right. It would be silly to assume it's accurate just because there've been cases to the contrary. As for the game, the concept are is beautiful. Hopefully the game itself turns out similarly. Sounds like Borderlands meets Star Wars, plus Bungie and a bit of Dark Souls. Sounds good to me. |

| Oh, and it would've been interesting for this to be something other than a first person shooter. I have no doubt it'll be good fun, but a good third person shooter would be welcome. Especially to see the nice customizable characters they're boasting. |

| guess pirate apps werent doing it for them. pssh. guess they werent willing to commit the entire company to halo reach. this game will probably be good. but just know in the back of my mind will be the fact that this is the effort that could have gone into halo. (aka the reason anyone bought an xbox!) |

a lot of games in the UK are released on tuesdays sure not all of them but certainly all of the call of duty games over the past few years, Gears of war games have, halo games have etc... all of the big games that are released on the same day as they are in the US... this game looks incredible already Bungie can really be trusted to deliver on these bg innovative concepts i really hope they pull through and create something as epic if not more epic than halo if thats even possible! |

Bioshock infinite is probably the only game left in this generation that has the hope to innovate and still treads familiar territory. This is what NEW games are supposed to be like. What a breath of fukin fresh air Jesus AMEN... |

Here are my guesses for this game, which looks amazing btw: -Complete character and weapon customization for MP and SP -Slight RPG elements that fall in place with a persistant online game world -Launching on next-gen as well as current-gen consoles The only gripe I have is that Bungie couldn't make Halo 4, which admittedly was a good counterfeit of Bungie's titles but the campaign felt too much like a corridoor shooter. |
