In my opinion: Action - Far Cry 3 (but Max Payne 3 should have been nominated and won) Artistic Achievement - Journey Audio - Halo 4 Best Game - The Walking Dead British Game - Forza Horizon Debut Game - Forza Horizon Game Design - Far Cry 3 Family - Minecraft Game Innovation - Fez Mobile & Handheld - The Walking Dead Online Browser - Runescape Online Multiplayer - Halo 4 Original Music - Journey (but Max Payne 3 should have been nominated & won) Performer - Melissa Hutchinson as Clementine Sports/Fitness - Forza Horizon Story - The Walking Dead Strategy - XCOM: Enemy Unknown And how in the hell did Black Ops II get a nomination for Game Innovation? That's just ludicrous and proves that whoever decides these awards are a bunch of bought drones. |

| Really good to see the 'lesser' known titles getting a mention, just shows you dont need big budgets, and ridiculous 'hollywood' action to make a good game. |

Best game: FIFA 13? So many worthy games were released in 2013 and they pick a sports title that's on it's 25th iteration? |

Anarchy reigns not up for audio achievement, original music or game innovation? I feel cheated. While not the best game it's certainly something amazing and different. Anarchy has opened the way for others to make an online 16 way brawler. What other game has ever done such a thing? It's a game type i could only dream of. Surely that is game innovation? And it's soundtrack consisting of 36 amazing tracks each suiting the games missions perfectly and making for an excellent online experience. Try telling me bashing someones face in with a sign post while a sub is about to nuke the area with missiles while listening to bandy leggz i know u want me isn't fun. Just my little opinion. Please don't let me stop call of duty winning game innovation it clearly deserves it. |

@7 I took my dad along to see him a couple of years back when he did that particular routine - I was absolutely crying with laughter whereas my dad was sat next to me with little to no idea of what he was talking about. As for the nominations, I'd like to see the Walking Dead come away pretty successful, I think it's got a great chance of picking a few awards up. |

@ #2... Yup, I was goini to point that out aswell. Shows they have little knowledge thes 'experts'! Plus Whilst originally liking Dara, the more I have seen of his stand up, the more I realise he is an uncultured paint-it-by-the-numbers buffoon... yes, with a big (physically) head. Go away, you fat count von count lookalike. |

| Surprised to see that Mark Meer and Jenifer Hale weren't nominated for best performance. Despite Mass Effect 3's many, many flaws, both actors, and Sam Hulick's score deserve awards for their contributions. |

@10: Co-signed on those Max Payne 3 noms, it's soundtrack was incredible. Might Black Ops II's innovation nomination have something to do with the integration of e"Sports" stuff and making it more accessible to the average pleb on the pad? Sorry, I forgot to be instantly dismissive. :[ |

WHERE CAN I VOTE. But The Walking Dead should win awards. That was an amazing game that should show developers story is so much more important than gameplay in some titles. The gameplay was old and rubbish point and click, but the story and atmosphere and emotion was truly amazing for this day and age of SHOOT EM UP games. |

@32 Anarchy Reigns isn't here because no one knows what it is. The fact that it isn't eligible anyway is irrelevant. I desperately hope Walking Dead wins nothing. It doesn't deserve ANY of the credit it's received. |

BEST GAME: Fifa 13 No... just no. Even the fact that was nominated has just marked this whole charade null and void. Who the cock nominated it as best game? Over Halo 4, LEGO LotR, fuck even Lollipop Chainsaw has more rights to be up there. |

I've heard Dara O'Briain's opinion on games. I, personally, think he's not a "proper gamer" and tbh, I cringe when I hear this spud-headed, unfunny twat harp on about his grievances with games. It's all too pop culture and it makes perfect sense that he's hosting an awards ceremony where CoD gets nominated for Game Innovation. Charlie Brooker, however, is better, though I preferred his harsher material when he started Screenwipe. Having a kid seems to have knackered him in and "10 O Clock Live" often felt forced. That said, he and David Mitchell were the only ones on that show who were regularly entertaining. And back on topic, these awards, if not, all well publicised awards ceremonies are essentially rigged showboats. If a genuinely good game ever wins anything, it's because it's deemed the popular choice and appeasing to the greatest number of business interests or fans. Or it could be a particularly not well known event who want to get noticed so they'll choose something niche to generate interest. Either way, I'm happily and purposefully ignorant and oblivious to this kind of marketing shit. |
