| Some do it better than others. Sometimes you buy the game new and get some of the DLC included. As it stands i'll probably wait until it goes on sale. Hate how they plan to milk you with DLC before a game is even out. |

As there's no achievements tied to the "bug hunt" dlc I think I'll give it a miss. As I will with any of the other dlc that don't have achievements included. I never buy season passes as odds are half are just maps that I have no interest in.
I think this game could crash and burn if the multiplayer is bad. Can't see the campaign being something gamers will talk about for years. So it all rests on the quality of the multiplayer. My opinion anyway. |

| Wow my copy got posted today so can't cancel it. After recently doin sleeping dogs f1 race stars rage and the god awful dark void and bullshit dishonored dlc I'm done with rip off bullshit dlc. I'll do it to 1000g n trade it in. selling 70% of the game n selling us the rest for 2400msp how kind of em. Also agree with others only season pass I've ever bought was borderlands 2 and that was a fucking waste of money. |

To all who bitch about gearbox and their season passes, for borderlands 2 it's down to the publisher 2k games on pricing for the season pass with i'd presume a little input from MS, and with this it's SEGA's responsibility. Regarding the price for BL2 season pass i was happy paying £20 for it and it didn't bother me that it was discounted over the xmas period. Again the discount is not down to gearbox.
Seriously people if you don't want to pay for these things then don't buy them. Instead of bitching online about it.
OT i'm really looking forward to this game and it's a def day one purchase for me. And i'll also be getting the season pass too. Knowing gearbox if they have the same freedom to create content like they did for BL2 there'll a whole heap of goodness for your money |

And the only way to persuade people from spending money on this shite is by bitching online.
I don't buy for a second that Gearbox is simply at the mercy of the publisher when it comes to pricing and discounts. And if it didn't bother you that something you paid full price for was discounted before you even got everything connected to it, in my opinion you're a bit of a tool.

| Wow... 2400? The Aliens series isn't big enough for a season pass, especially with that price tag. AVP online was messed up and they're releasing this in the same month as Metal Gear, Dead Space and Crysis. Gearbox must have high expectations. |

@1 While I am myself getting freaking annoyed by this season pass thing, I don't really see it as a bad idea considering if they were going to release all the DLC anyway. Might as well release it at a discount I suppose.
My personal problem with all these season passes is for me, it feels like it's contradictory to what DLC is about. It's supposed to be about prolonging the life of a game. But now all these season passes coming out or being announced so soon, gives me the impression that I just bought a brand new game, and I'm already being conditioned to feel like I'm missing out!!
If the DLC is good, season pass is good in the end. But that is yet to be seen. |

| I was sold on this game years ago when Gameinformer had a cover story about it. After watching the 2 hours of video over at IGN I am just as excited as ever. Aliens is one of my all time favorite movies, this was a must for me. |

| Problem with season passes is that one thing is good and the rest is crap like skins or a few maps and the likes with no achievments. so you don't really save 40% because you wouldn't have bought it in the first pace. |

I think this season pass thing has gotten way out of hand. As soon as a Season Pass is introduced, you know that there is going to be at least 4 pieces of DLC, even if the game itself doesn't warrant it.
At the end of the day, I think I'll rent this game instead of buying, and won't get the Season Pass. |

| Still super pumped for this game, but the season pass sounds weak right out the gates. $15 for a survival mode? We're in 2013, that's expected to be a part of the game. And for one whose strong point seems to be the integrated co-op especially. Will I cough up another $30? Depends. Depends whether or not this game garners a community, and whether or not I like the game as much as I think I will. |

| im about to boycott console games anymore. ive invested quite a bit of money over these 7 years on xbox and i notice more and more. its all about season passes. the games are shit. they they release some what decent dlc. and most of these games dont even have that return playability factor. once you beat the game thats it. (ac3, bl2, etc) i know this game will prolly have MP, but come on...we dont even know if its good. like crysis. the stories were great but he MP SUCKED!! i for one will no longer be buying season passes. until they come out with a game worth it. i just wont. plus from now on i will be renting or buying used. no more brand new games. i get passes and season passes for under $4 off ebay anyways. no real sweat off my back. |

| It's all totally out of control. I got the Halo 4 war games pass with the ltd edition, I'm rank 126/130 and 1/3 of the map packs have been released. I'm gonna hit the cap very soon and then what is the point in playing? You could argue "for fun" but half the fun is the sense of progressing. |

Any paid for dlc needs to meet a few factors in my book.
1. Achievements
2. Extra single player / co-op missions
3. New weapons/ costumes etc not seen in the game.
4. Any new maps need to justify inclusion. If the game isn't popular, I'm not paying for multiplayer stuff that no one else is playing.
5. Not be released within at least 3 months of the game dropping. If its ready to go, put it on the damn disc!
In short, if the dlc doesn't add anything NEW to the game experience, and is just a money maker, or is stuff that should be in the disc anyway ( like a horde mode) the gamers should stop buying the crap. Maybe then the devs will listen to us! |
