Avalanche Working on Two Open-World Next-Gen Titles

Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios has two unannounced next-gen titles in the pipeline, one of which is believed to be Just Cause 3.

That’s according to the LinkedIn profile of Christofer Sundberg, Avalance Studios’ co-founder and CEO.

The CV describes the first unannounced title as an "open-world action game" based on "a well-known movie license." The game will be released in April 2014 on both current and next-gen consoles, as well as PC.

Avalanche has previously been linked with the development of an open world Mad Max game, based around the upcoming Tom Hardy movie Mad Max: Fury Road. So if we were gamblers, we’d put a few quid on it being that.

The second game in development, meanwhile, is a "new installment in a very well-known game series." Described as a "sandbox action game" to be published by Square Enix, it doesn’t take too much deduction to connect this with the developer’s ace Just Case series.

According to the CV the game will hit in June 2015 on next-gen consoles.

	Movie tie in. Hope ita good. Tom hardy is going to play sam fisher in the splinter cell movie too.

	Idk about either of these games. Wasnt a fan of Just Cause. Thats just me though...

	Loved Just Cause 2. Was so much fun, and the freedomto do whatever you want was what kept me going at it. My personal favourite, was to grapple a gas canister and shoot it. Then play the waiting game. Fun times.

	Here's hoping for a decent Mad Max Game. I'm imagining Fallout meets Twisted Metal meets...well...Max frakkin' Rockatansky. But then again...it might be a movie tie-in. :/

	Just Cause 3 = Day one purchase no matter what price it is... Imho, both Just Cause 1 & 2 rivals GTA: San Andreas as the most fun I've ever had in a sandbox-type game... (except for the poor handling cars in JC)

	Provided Mad Max isn't a cheap cash grab for a movie tie in, it seems like it could be a lot of fun. Couldn't have picked a better studio to pull it off either.

	JUST CAUSE, JUST CAUSE, JUST CAUSE 3 PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Together with GTA:SA, JC2 is my most favorite sandbox game, I really want JC3!
