Microsoft looking for staff for new Halo project

Three months ago, it was revealed that Microsoft were looking for extra staff to work on the Halo project that had Peter Jackson on-board.

Fast forward to today, and it seems they are still looking. A Job ad on Gamesutra read that they were looking for "a superstar creative director to help develop a new experience in the Halo universe", who will work with "key Hollywood talent" to "bridge the gap between storytelling and the interactive experience while delivering on the Halo soul".

Jackson was slated to work on a Halo movie adaptation, but it was put on 'indefinite hold'. Not much is known about what this particular project entails.

anything thats not a proper halo game will not be as good as the trilogy games, but they can try and squeeze every last drop of halo momentum or 'fan blood' to earn a few more money.

X360A has started a flaming post war lol, every single thing about Halo makes the members post a war on weither they hate or love Halo. No point arguing though because its not going to change Microsoft's mind about that nor Bungie's. Have fun with the war guys and don't forget to tell your parents "I'm not coming home tonight"...

If they are making another Halo, and its not going to have the original Master Chief then how is it a Halo?

I have a feeling that if anyone besides Bungie does a Halo game it is going to flop and most will hate it...then again, if it has something the other games don't it might have a chance

Any news item is relevant to everybody in some matter.

You posted an article in-regards to a future Halo game. Those who love the game are posting the joy of seeing another one created, and those who despise it are posting to let other knows the disappiontment and anger at seeing another one made.

If you can't take "negative" comments on your news post, don't post news. Pretty simple solution, otherwise, learn to deal that not everyone loves Halo and is stuck up Halo's ass. Besides, "negativity" generates more traffic (IE i could care less, but I saw the comments here and felt the need to post, hence creating more conversation about said topic) so, sit back and enjoy the fact people are reading your news articles.

Personally, couldn't care less if Halo died or continue on.

Well, technically speaking, as long as you involve the use of the rings, you've got a Halo game. Next comes a few guns, Human Marines, Covenant, Flood, a few extra biblical references for the hell of it- BAM! You've got Halo 4.

I honestly don't understand why people feel the need to keep doing this and why I keep reading them.

I'm almost to the point of not even bothering looking at what else the site offers because of all the stupidity that increased 3x in the lasts few months.

Good to know that "indefinite hold" allows people to assume that there "may be" a movie.

Folks. It just means no. No shiny Master Chief on the big screen, and no shiny Master Chief based after the big shiny Master Chief on the big screen, aka Game-Movie Adaptation.

I have to agree that MS is going to grab every buck they can from anything with the Halo name on it. Why on earth would they want to kill off there biggest cash cow. Moooooo!

Halo was fun in the trilogy, and luckily I like RST games so I'll at least try Halo Wars. But another game, come on guys I hope you impress me more then Halo 3 did if your going to try to make another $60 release.

halo is awesome but it gets old anything made with a halo label people will buy so its a smart move by MS there
