There's yet another selection of singles taken from Rock Band Blitz heading to the Rock Band library next week, with tracks from Avenged Sevenfold, Great White, Iron Maiden and Queen.

Iron Maiden's "The Wicker Man" also gets an optional Pro upgrade for the first time, which is nice.

Aaaand, that's about it. Check out the tracks below:

Single Tracks - 160 Microsoft Points each. X = 80 Microsoft Points per track for a Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade O= support for keyboards

  • Avenged Sevenfold – “So Far Away” O
  • Great White – “Once Bitten Twice Shy” O
  • Iron Maiden – “The Wicker Man” O X
  • Queen – “Death on Two Legs” O

(All tracks are original master recordings)

Look out for them on the Xbox Live Marketplace from February 5th.

I was thinking about picking a music game up? Are music games any good?

I got really excited when I saw the title, but then I realized it was Rock Band Blitz.

@2 read it again. They were released on RB Blitz but can now be purchased for RB only.

@1. Yeah they're pretty good. Get Rock Band if you do decide to get one though. Nothing against Guitar Hero but Harmonix releases new tracks for Rock Band every week and correct me if I'm wrong but Activision has shelved the Guitar Hero franchise so you wouldn't be getting any new tracks or anything. It's just a better game overall IMO, its got better visuals, the instrument tracks are more accurate and if you get really into it you can get the pro instruments which is like playing the real thing.

@1 To expand on what @5 said, it's all about how you play. If you're hard-up for cash, get RB1. If you prefer online co-op and more varied multiplayer modes, get RB2. If you want to delve in to the pro instruments (keyboard, guitar) get RB3. Once you get established and learn your instruments, then explore Lego Rock Band, all of the track pack discs (AC/DC) and if you're a fan of either band, Rock Band Beatles and Rock Band Green Day. Obviously, do a little research and find out which game has the best on-disc tracklist for your music tastes. With all my DLC (500 and counting), I have a varied setlist on all the games, but if I had to pick a single game for memorable songs, it'd be RB1. Just be sure you have some money put back lol. The instruments can be very pricey, especially the pro versions and the DLC, while fairly priced, will eat up your credit card in no time.

@4 How about before you downvote me and call me out on not reading the article, you read my post. I own Rock Band Blitz and understand that they're releasing these again, because RBB is not on the Wii. I was hoping for potentially music packs from these bands.

Ugh. I hate that they are releasing these for RB now, for those who didn't buy RBB. Even though the game wasn't that great, you got tons of free songs, that you are now going to pay way more for, if you just would of bought the game. Oh well, least I don't have to worry.

@8 firstly I didn't down vote you, secondly you didn't make that point clear. It's entirely your own fault.

2: Yeah, the way they worded the article title was shitty, it got my hopes up for nothing. They should have noted (in the title of the article as well, not just within the article) that the DLC they're talking about is content already available via Rock Band Blitz.

Saw Queen in the title and got happy. Not Princes of the Universe and got sad. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

As part of the Great White song finale, does the venue, audience and part of your band burn to death?
