| This game will not have a subscription fee. Preordering the game gets you into the console beta which I imagine should be coming up soon with the game out in just over 2 months. Check out the forum for the CE & UE info. Some gameplay footage of the recent PC beta is up on Youtube. Looks solid but hopefully there will be enough players playing on the 360 server. |

| Could be interesting. I've been wanting a few MMOs to show up on consoles for a while. I never have the cash for the latest and coolest MMOs on the PC :( High end PC's always cost at least $1000 and that kind of locks out players who genuinely are interested in the games that are on that platform. |

| Look quite interest. Defo preorder it for play with friends and get achievements. Multiplayer is not my taste of course but enjoy play that mode with friends and get achievements too. So this game is first MMO on console for long time. Rare MMO on console so glad this developer decide bring MMO game onto console. Look forward to it. :P |

| The TV show looks awesome because its setting is in St. Louis, where I live. I thought it'd be cool to play the game and see familiar landmarks like the Arch, but it seems the game's setting is San Francisco since the Golden Gate Bridge is seen at the end. If I get into to the show I may pick the game up. |

| Brink was a horrid online multiplayer FPS. Defiance is a massively multiplayer first-person shooter. Much in the same vein as World of Warcraft.....but with guns. The MMO part of MMOFPS pretty much just translates to "open-world FPS". Sounds interesting and I'm all for helping out any company that's ballsy enough to make a console MMO. 3 of my most played gmes of all-time were console MMOs. (EQOA on the PS2 and FFXI and PSU on the 360). |

@15 Huxley came out, its just a crappy free to play online PC shooter. Don't know why anyone got excited about it considering that the company talking it up had no history.
@17 I'd say the game you should most be comparing is Planetside, which had a lackluster first game, but the new one is supposed to be pretty decent. These were also PC only, despite being from Sony.
I'll take a wait and see stance and hope this turns out well and gets a good community going for it. |

| Oh and you can apparently sign up for the beta if you're interested, just register on their site and its an option right after. Also you can register codes to unlock stuff, there's a forum post on Gamefaqs that lists the codes as they are found. |

@23 Yea but I've seen some gameplay and the game was in third-person. Maybe you'll be able to switch between first and third-person?
@21 Is the beta only for PC or for consoles too? I really wanna try this game out before I buy it.

The beta is for PC and Xbox360.
Here's the link to the site: http://defiance.com/en/game/
After you register, it will show you a list of the versions you can preorder and also the beta's. Just click the 360 beta option and it will add you to the list of people who want in.
To redeem Ark codes, which will unlock bonus' for you in the main game when its released, go to the My Ego section.

@33 from what I read there may only be one or two xbox 360 servers at launch which means you will be in the same world as possibly thousands of other players
@31 you can play the game solo or with friends or join random people and take down mobs and participate in dynamic events
BTW the article indicates this is a FPS; all of the beta footage so far shows the game as a 3rd person shooter. You can customize your characters looks and its similar to borderlands with loot dropping off mobs and bosses. |

| Some of you seem to be confused on what the game actually is. It is not just a third person match based shooter. It is a full blown mmo and has pvp elements within it. You create a character, upgrade skills, HUGE open world map, tons of missions fun and different missions to jump into, tons of gear,etc. It is a MMO, not just an MMO shooter. I recommend it to anyone though, I was very impressed. |

| @39 the 64 player is an incorrect listing. This game is a MMO and the servers should hold hundreds to thousands of players. I believe I also read there is no instancing and no loading screen when you enter a new PVE zone. PVP probably has its own instance though. |

| I would rather like to see MMORPGs like Guild Wars 2 (where you don`t have to pay every month, only for the game itself) for Xbox360 and PS3, BUT i watched a gameplay trailer about this game and it looked very nice! Hope there are no monthly costs ,thats the only thing which bothers me. |

| @45 It has no subscription past what you pay for the core game and any expansions. There will probably be some form of microtransaction setup, but otherwise there shouldn't be any reason to have to pay anything more to play the game once you own it. |
