Skulls of the Shogun Now Available For XBLA, Windows 8 and Surface

Today sees the launch of turn-based action strategy game, Skulls of the Shogun on the Xbox Live Arcade, as well as on Windows 8 PC, Microsoft Surface and Windows Phone.

Set in the afterlife, Skulls of the Shogun boasts a 10-15 hour single-player campign featuring ghostly samurai warriors and support for 2-4 players in local or online multiplayer.

Packed with sorcery and strategy, as well as stylish, eye-catching visuals, 17-Bit's Skulls of the Shogun can be played across all four Microsoft platforms asynchronously, thanks to its Cloud tech.

Skulls of the Shogun is available now on XBLA for 1200 Microsoft Points, on Windows 8 and Surface for $14.99 in the Microsoft Store, whereas the Windows Phone version can be snapped up for $6.99 from the Windows Phone Marketplace. You can download the Skulls of the Shogun here.

Looks to be not too bad but 1200 is a bit pricy for me considering it's an arcade title.

If you are getting it for the Surface like #1. It is $9.99. The article is mistaken, the Surface, W8 and Windows versions are on sale for a limited time. You guys did an article on this earlier. Anyway $10 for an arcade game that last longer than most retail games priced at $60 is a damn good deal. You people need to stop acting like you are entitled to get everything for dirt cheap. 15 Hour Campaign, multiplayer you can play with anyone regardless of what platform they are using(if you like mp) for $10 is great. So far the game is pretty fun, and humorous as well. Give the game a shot.

I hate that for every other available platform, they're selling it for 33% off, except the Xbox.

I'm boycotting for economic discrimination. Also, it doesn't look fun.

the game does look fun, but i agree that it is an absolute scam that EVERY distribution option except the 360 is getting a launch sale on the game.

i'll pick this up when it eventually goes on sale for the 360, but not a day before that.

@9 The reason the other versions are on discount is because players who plan on getting it for 360 want to get it for other platforms as well but the prices are a lot. $15 for an arcade game that offers a lengthy challenging campaign, local and online multiplayer is a good deal. The game is pretty cool.
