So they don't lose the preorders of those that don't like it, but they'll gain my buys from those that try the demo and like it.
It smarter than releasing a demo before release from a business standpoint. |

Nice for the European players at least who'll have an extra 3 days before release.

I'm going to be getting this but I fear it'll mark the death of Gears of War.
No longer Cog vs Locust multiplayer, DBNO is gone, looks like there is a bunch of overpowered weapons, pretty much all of the unique ideas in previous Gears of War games are gone, a blatant lack of imagination by the team is evident, and finally the key players behind the old Gears of War have gone. I am aware People Can Fly are the main people working on this, but I mean for when Epic take back over, if they do.
The only new idea I've seen which looks even slightly promising is the challenge things you can activate during the campaign. |

@13. People Can Fly only did the campaign, Epic is responsible for the stupid decisions with MP, like removing locust and DBNO.
I'm going to try it as I am a huge gears fan, but I'm just not as excited as I was for the other games... |

A whole three days early? Wow don't spoil us.
Seriously though I don't think i care about this game. Bought and 100% completed 1 and 2. 3 Just didn't have that special feeling the others bought me but it's still an alright game.
But this? It just seems like a quick cash cow spin off. Disappointing. |

#20 Hmmm Gears of Wars series already TPS. Make no differences. Judgement's gameplay got many of same from original series but it got few add new things like skill points from Bulletstorm for Campaign (of course People like Fly those developer who like Gears of War being bit like to Bulletstorm for Skill Points), you can now climbs up the walls (new ability for Judgement), some or every controls in Judgement got revamped from original series so which is mean control will feel more different in Judgement then original series as well cover systems will be less then original so People Like Fly want force players to onto gunplay more and more with skills rather then cover and get quickly kills without being hits so cover systems still there yes but less then before so all of us need to is more of gunplay with force of skills to kill enemies (few numbers of covers around areas throughout Campaign and Multiplayer).
Anyway those just some changes and there more I think so but rest of many things in past will be there too.
Look forward Judgement for Campaign, achievements, MP with friends. :D

| @13 You have no idea do you? People can Fly built the Campaign, the only part of the game that looks any good, and possibly even better than the Campaign's of the last three games. Epic themselves made the butchered Multiplayer, it was there decision to remove all those features in hopes of making the game faster and more mainstream. |

I thought Epic said DBNO isn't in FFA mode, but could still be in the other modes like TDM. I know there was an article saying DBNO is gone from Gears MP but that was updated and corrected. Has Epic released if DBNO is in the other MP modes?

@ 28 The only mode DBNO is in, is Overrun and the story mode. It's been striped away from online multiplayer-FFA, TDM etc.

| @28 please get you info straight. No locust in FFA, Domination, TDM, etc. DBNO has been removed from TDM, FFA, and Domination. So no it will not be the same classic Gears. Plus they changed the controls. |

@30 @33 That isn't accurate, an Epic employee did send out a tweet saying that but was corrected later in the day. DBNO is still in some MP modes.

I highly doubt I'm the only one who has this opinion, however as a long lasting gear veteran - I somewhat don't really give a shit about Baird's story?
I'm refusing to buy it, as I will just be another number added to the sales of this game which I think Epic will think they can churn out any old shite and slap a label of "Gears Of War" onto it and that it would sell very well. (I'm sure Judgement will, nevertheless)
I for one am waiting for the Halo: Reach equivalent. The Pendulum wars/Aspho fields with a young M.Fenix with C.Santiago - from the time he joining the COG right up to the 1st Gears game! (e.g. Prison). |

| I played the Demo at Eurogamer last year and wasnt totally impressed. The class system does take some time to get used to but it was the power of the gnasher that annoyed me. There isnt any. There were so many times i would know i would get a kill on the other games that would seem to do nothing on this one. Looks like the crappy sworn off will be more popular this time round if it hasnt been fixed. |

| @52 DBNO is not in any of the multiplayer modes. Cliffy B and Chris Wynn both tweeted about it. They're ruining everything good about the franchise and what made it original to be honest. No DBNO, no more execution or warzone, you spawn as red and blue cog in multiplayer now, no damage boost from active reloads, the weapon spawning system is all whacky now, quick throw grenades, being able to drop down from buildings and stuff, they only have four gametypes (ffa, tdm, overrun, and what is pretty domination) and they're leaving in the sawed off and retro when they even admitted the sawed off was a mistake and it would be exclusive to gow3. All they're doing is appealing to players with low skill now so they can make more money. Gears is a hard game, that's why I like it. But this.. Good God. Might as well call it Gears of Duty. |

Okay so I guess If I want to get a head-start on getting skins, achievements, levels. I have to pre-order from gamestop and get the classic hammerburst (which I don't mind) .. but I have to get shitty young Marcus too?
I'd rather see if a Season Pass releases and get ALL OF THE L.E. Characters. Like in Gears3 -.- Screw you gamestop for having a crappy pre-order bonus character.
Here's a tip for people wanting to pre-order it. Pre-order it from the Microsoft store (Alex Brand) She's badass, or who-ever is giving out Anya. Young Dom looks like a messed up Prescott. .-. |

| if they do take out dbno its only because epic has always had a hard time understanding the difference in points you should get from downing someone compared to actually killing them... hell why not remove dbno? might as well make the new GOW a 3rd person version of COD and get rid of any element that made the games different. |
