Can't wait to play this game though. I played the demo a couple days ago and loved it. The weapon crafting is something I can't wait to get stuck into. Only just got around to DS2 last week also (I know, blasphemy) and I fell in love with that game too. This is a series that has consistently been great to me. Even if this one isn't as scary I still think I'm going to love it! |

lol @ trying to make Kinect sound like something good for this game.

I cant wait for this game, but my fear is that Dead Space has become less about survival horror and more about action/co-op to appeal to a bigger market.
Either way I'll pick this one up as I absolutely loved the first and second! |

Terrible song for the trailer, which was also sending kind of bad vibes. A little too happy and adventure-y.
I'm a little apprehensive, even after the demo. Nonetheless, I have it pre-ordered and am looking forward to it. Who knows? It could be what 'Aliens' did after 'Alien'. |

As long as I do not think about anything in relation to past DS games, or anything at all really, this game looks great!.... but when I think of EA's much talked about [and often confirmed] "shift in tone", it is far too apparent where VG/EA decided to take ds3. In both single player and co op... ACTION is the name of the game.
IF the isolated, tense, horror-based game play was there, VG would have shown SOME of it by now, probably on a few occasions. At this point, a week from release, all I have seen from DS3 is action-based "new stuff", new stuff that I apparently "can't critique" yet. lol
Every screen shot, every video clip, every press release from VG, every press release from EA, every time I see anything in regards to DS3, it exudes action game, with a spritzing of "scary stuff" at best. At every turn, I see a new experience, unlike what I look for from DeadSpace. I don't want "new". I hope the new demographic was worth it VG, because you turned your back and lied to the original fans, in order to appeal to the people who did find the previous DS games fun, and in fact found them "too scary". Which SHOULD be a compliment to VG, if they were true to the original. But it made them want to change it, to appeal to those people. Gotta sell those games I guess.
ds1 - "there is no help coming"
ds2 - "bring the terror to space"
ds3 - "take down the terror" |
