I predict this will have the same "sucess" of the Aliens vs Predator videogame.
The media talks alot about this game as one of the big releases od 2013, but at the end it will be another "7" or "7.5" overall. |

The voice over sounds like Duke Nukem and even has the adolescent tone you'd expect from Duke. Probably not the best association Gearbox should be making.
The closer we get to its release, the more I'm glad I cancelled my pre-order. |

This trailer and the 'Ultimate badass' difficulty make it seems like Gearbox are doing their best to market the game towards knuckle-dragging dudebros.
Think I'll wait for the reviews on this one. |

| Really looking forward to this, and I'm pleased with my pre-order, but I have to confess; they ARE over-doing the whole "KICK-ASS, MARINES" thing a bit. Though its disappointing to hear so many people pulling support. I think Gearbox warrants a little faith, especially when it's a co-op shooter... Plus, Aliens. |

| I wouldn't feel safe in one of those 'loaders' at all. Totally exposing the front half of myself and with slow clunky mechanical arms I'm having to learn how to operate for the first time while ALSO trying to battle a xenomorph thats a hell of a lot faster! Not to mention if some of the xeno's acidid blood gets on a hydraulic's hose there goes operating that limb. |

| I hope all the characters in the game are like this VoiceOver guy. I've got no problem with the badass soldier stereotype... In a game like Bulletstorm or something where you are overly powerful. I want to be shit scared of the xenomorphs. I shouldn't just be gunning them down like any other video-game enemy. They should be hard to kill and the characters should be frightened! They should feel like prey. The core emotion of the films is fear. That should transcend into the game. Not "Hu Rah! Lets kick some alien ass." Despite my angry ramblings I think this game could be awesome. I just didn't like this trailer and have serious fears for the story. |

| I have the same feeling as #5 about this game. However, I will still give it a chance due to me being a die-hard fan of the Alien franchise which I'm sure that many others will do too. When I first heard of this idea over year or two ago, I was so stoked over the thought of combatting Xenomorphs once again. But alas, I'm disappointed at what its evolved into. I'd imagine the big kicker of this game will be the Campaign, with the competitive multiplayer being easily forgettable and nothing worth writing home about. The previous trailer's to this one gave me hope that this game had some serious potential, and that the postponed release dates were well worth the wait so long as the game was decent. With this trailer though, with its "badassery" and how quickly it was widespread makes me think that they really want it to appeal to the casual-shooter CoD crowd. Nothing wrong with aiming your product toward the cash-flow, but I sure hope it won't be just another simple and mindless FPS. |

That is the worst, laziest, most stereotypical voice over I think I've ever heard. Completely undermines the trailer, the product and the franchise.
Just awful.
As a result of this lazy advertising, I'm now concerned about how seriously they have taken the license, and I'm going to hold off purchasing until I've read plenty of reviews. |
