| Also, if this takes place after Emergence day and before Gears 1, what happened to these new weapons and Locust in those games? Continuity is all fucked up. But I guess that happens a lot when someone wants to make a prequel and they don't explain these things... |

| This trailer actually makes me want this game again. The new story mechanic for unlocking more story from baird and Characters is awesome, but obviously if you play online with dumb asses who ignore challenges which for one game "Bulletstorm" done by the same people ALWAYS happens. @5 They already explained why the new locust died out(Rager)- Due to their savage/reckless tactics.
OT:I'm going to hold off on buying this game. Too many changes to the multiplayer, and I don't really trust Epic anymore after what they did to GOW 3. |

Tomb Raider vs. Gears of War: Judgement vs. God of War Ascension vs Sniper: Ghost Warrior
Who will be winning of best MP in March 2013. Also who will be less numbers of players to play MP in those game. I guess Gears of War wins and more numbers of players in it. Tomb Raider or God of War: Ascension as I guess it is come with less then other for numbers of players either of those games. This my guess judge for now. We all knew Gears of War will be wins anyway since it is one of biggest popular MP games.
I look forward this game for single-player campaign, coop and mp to play with friends and achievements. :) |

A lot of people are premptively shitting all over this in the forums, crying about the changes but I'm liking everything I see, apart from the voiceovers, which seem a little phoned in.
Every game should have randomly spawning enemies. It's easy to do the hardest modes on Dead Space 2 and Max Payne 3 when you know what around every corner. Insane's gonna be tough as hell.
Looks like you can do some of the Seriously 4.0/0.9 grinds in single player, which is nice. |

Read the books, it explains how a LOT of technology was lost during the locust war. It's entirely possible that this game is set BEFORE the cog used the hammer of dawn to destroy their own cities... |

Huh, already played the hell out of the original Gears, so not exactly much of an incentive, still can't really grumble for something which is free I suppose.
Some free substansial DLC would have been better though. |

Too many changes to multiplayer, no DBNO, COG VS COG NO LOCUST, NO EXECUTIONS, NO CLASSIC GAMEMODES, no reviving friends which i loved saving their ass, one starting weapon, no more gorgon or boltok pistols, did i mention the semiauto sniper is a starting weapon??? Seriously epic? No word on horde or beast assuming they have both been replaced by overrun, no EXECUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
However the campaign does look awesome and i love the new spawn system and mini challenges within, still a rental sadly |

Sounds to me like they're trying to force people's interest after the news of all the terrible changes they've made(CoD style controls, removable of DbnO and no Locust in competitive MP).
As far as I'm concerned, Gears of War 3 was the final Gears game. |

@14 Epic fucked up their own Gears Universe with Gears 3.
Honestly I like the new changes, the DBNO while yes it sucks, but it also doesn't. Kill-stealing is not an issue anymore, nor is watching your dumbass team mates run past you cause your down. The logic behind the reason it was taken out is to get people to play Gears the way it was supposed to be played. TACTICALLY!
What is the dumbest addition, regardless of what anyone wants to say, is the fact you can now wield a shotgun and a boomshield. That was an exploit in Gears of War 2 and now it's a legit part of the game. THAT is bullshit!
I love Gears of War and I have to say I'm looking forward to this. Can't really fuck MP up anymore than what Epic did with gears of War 3, Can they? Sure you got a double shot sawed off and a semi auto sniper. But we all know everyone would complain if they didn't bring anything new and just copied and pasted Gears of War 3 MP. Some people are never happy and just want complain about everything. |

Campaign looks very nice and the new ennemis looks badass. Although, the new-improved sawed-off shotgun will be disgusting online.

| Personal i think Gears Of War (and by that i mean the first one) was just awesome and new and refreshing, both Single player as well the MP. Now we see yet another rebirth and they took alot of the great elements of the original and replaced it. Epic and Cliff already mentioned they did a big mistake then with the matchmaking system in Gears Of War 2 (basicly a Halo clone version of matchmaking) How much i loved that one could host his own ranked matches in the first one and select you favorite map from start and anyone who liked that map to could just simply join and pick it from the list. I still will wait and see how well this new Judgment will do, but its probly not a day one buy for me. |

| @19 The classic modes will return, you can still perform executions. DBNO is only unavailable in the free for all mode. Same with executions. COG VS COG is just for the free for all mode. You must be really stupid if you think, this game will come out with only two modes. Really stupid |

DBNO is not going to be in FFA,TDM and Domination. It will be on Overrun but only certain classes can get downed.
It's going to be red COG vs blue COG because EPIC said that the Players didn't like playing as the Locust so they removed them from the MP.
Executions are in the Campaign and Overrun(maybe? idk if you can execute a downed Person in that mode)

| @38 Oh that is my mistake. Well the first gears was the reason I bought my 360. I will still buy Judgment, even with these changes I will give the MP a shot. I won't play it for too long regardless and MP in general doesn't hold my attention for too long anymore. Single player looks really fun. |

But anyways, I'll still give it a try. Just because something isn't in the game doesn't mean I won't enjoy playing it. The only time I did different executions anyway was to get the achievements in Gears 2 and 3. I normally don't do then when playing online. Animations take too long. And COG vs COG? I don't mind that either. Everyone hates being on the Locust team anyway. As long as you can't have more than one of each character on each team I'm okay with it. I know each character doesn't have unique abilities like with other games with classes, but a team full of Marcus' just doesn't look right. |

this might be good, loved gears 1 and 2, 3 felt rushed and a really shitty storyline - really they fucked up getting Travis to write it
red vs blue doesn't sound too appealing either
I was really hoping for a pre prequel like way before the locust even came
when it was just man vs man
think that'd be sweet , see how marcus and dom did fighting the good fight

| I read all the books and they really help boost the story in the games. Happy about getting Gears 1, even though it was my first game I received when I got my 360. Giving the download to my son, may do some non-split screen co-op. |

People are really upset over some of the things that are being changed in this game. Sure it might end up being game breaking changes but we really don't know that as of now.
With a bit of luck this game will still be good fun and the MP (even though not the same as before) might be good in it's own way. From what I've seen the campaign looks fun.

Am I the only one who's not all that interested in this game? If this is Microsoft's last hurrah for the Xbox 360, then it's going out with a whimper. Sony, on the other hand, is at least offering up some stellar exclusives like God of War: Ascension, The Last of Us, and Beyond: Two Souls.
I miss the days when Microsoft actually put out numerous exclusives, all we're left with is Halo, Gears, & Forza. |

I've read the books and he's full of shit. This takes place before the Hammer strike. 30 days after Emergence Day to be exact.
Nowhere in the original games or books does it mention Barid or Cole being brought to court martial, any of the "new" Locust we are seeing, or loss of technology.
True Gears fans who are actually knowledgeable with the timeline and universe know this and don't like it. For PCF to take it upon themselves to create a whole new storyline is beyond me. I knew when Rod And Cliff left the series would turn south, but I didn't think it would be this bad.
Epic should have just done the Pendulum Wars like everyone wants. |

campaign looks okay but the weapons are my concern i was under the imprssion that the lancer was crated by adam fenix after tai killed a grub useing a chainsaw yet the lancer seems standerd issue in all these trailers
