| Say what you like about COD but a job at Activision might just be the safest job in the game industry right now |

| A job at Activision and specifically one in the CoD department is the equivalent of living in secret misery. How you can continuously keep working there copy pasting the same stuff every year, it's amazing how they can keep them coming. |

| shame that so many good companies that have made great games (mostly from my childhood) are on the way out, seems that only Projekt RED can take a risk and make it work. oh well, more sequels to come then.... |

It hasn't bitten the dust yet. Chapter 11 isn't the same thing as going into Administration in the UK. It's exactly what it says it is. Bankruptcy -protection-. In 2011, AMR, ie American Airlines filed for Chapter 11 and they are still in business right now. It's like a bailout. Let's them keep trading, business as usual, while they try to sort things out. |

As @7 said it might not be the end. From what ive read the US arm is the only section turning albeit a small profit. If they can get themselves away from the sinking ship thats the main company then they might stand a chance. I would like to see them gettting round to releasing some Jaguar games like Tempest or Aliens Vs Predators. |

Agreed with #18 After the travesty that was the delayed release and finished product: TDU2, I could not care less about Atari. Their products show me that they're still living in the 80s not surprised |

| multiplayer issues aside, the console ghostbusters game (not sanctum of slime) was pretty enjoyable. Lets hope Atari, if they pull out of this in decent shape, can get of their rears and make another good game |

Yes Atari need bring better games. Rare nowhere to see their games in recent of years. Atari need publishing games: new Alone in the Dark with better improves, Area 51 need another improves, TDU series need returns where TDU 1 were or new Test Drive game that is better, bring back San Francisco Rush, Baldur's Gate onto consoles again, bring back Forgotten Realms, Ghostbusters 2, Shadow Ops 2, new Terminator game and new IP game. Atari need those and need they all great games. I really want to see all of those franchises returns from Atari. If Atari gone then other publishers neee pick up those franchises. :) |

@21 I would defiantly buy Alone in the Dark 2. The first one was interesting, even if it got pretty repetitive at the end. Hope they can get everything sorted out and get themselves in a better position. |

Bankruptcy PROTECTION, not bankruptcy. They're trying to break away from their parent company so that they don't go down the same way their parent is. OT: Good luck, Atari. Maybe it's true that they haven't made anything of note lately, but I still hate to see developers fold; it brings the video game industry closer to a world of EA vs. Activision. Competition is good; survive, Atari. |
